They're from bottles of Fruit Shoot, a children's drink popular in the UK.

They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery...

I hope you don't mind, but I spotted some of those Fruit Shoot caps recently and had to nab them to rip off your idea. Fear not Mr AB, they will not look even half as good as your sterling work here! Apart from anything else, the manufacturers have simplified the design of the caps and the interesting ridges on the top are no longer to be seen!

I have to say that this article has been inspirational and I've now turned into a bit of a scavenger, checking to see if there is anything that is being thrown out that might be remotely useful to build a few scenic pieces!
