Inspired heavily by FUBAR I am working on my own 6mm sci-fi skirmish rules.

I have the bare nuts and bolts and they will get their first play test this weekend – Huzzah!

I am after some terms though.

FUBAR calls them:
Expertise (attack score/ability)
Save (as it says)
Activation (likelihood they will carry out their order)

I am after alternate terms for an attack stat.
Agression, skill, training, weapon skills etc?

Save can stay as save, as that is pretty common.
But it needs to be mentioned it is not purely an armour save, it is also a save based on camo, ecm capability, speed etc.
So maybe defence value instead of save?

Activation needs to be changed, also I want the term for activation to more reflect their skill.
By that I mean, the activation stat in FUBAR is a stat, in my rules it is a bonus to the roll.

So the activation 'stats' in my rules are:

-1 (rook)
+0 (grunt)
+1 (elite)
+2 (guard)

This reflects the 4 grades of troop, thus rooks are less likely to carry out their order whilst elites more likely.
Oh, and this is not a change for the sake of change to make it less FUBAR.
My order system is different to that in FUBAR and as such it is essential that there is a bonus to the roll.

All will become clear later.

errrr that will do for now thanks, just after some cool military sounding names for those 3 stats.

Instead of "expertise" what about MP, standing for Military Prowess

Instead of "save" what about CDA, standing for Combat Defense Ability

Instead of "activation" what about CB, standing for Command Bonus
Or CAB to stand for Command Actuation Bonus

Also, attached is my attempt to smash FUBAR and Striker together. It may or may not be of use/help.

My suggestion for your "attack" stat is KQ, standing for Kill Quotient

The activation should probably be something like "Experience" or "Grade".

Righty ho folks.

I have played a few games and am so far happy with what I have.
I would like some people to play test the rules for me.

I made a quick Yahoo group and the rules can be found there:

I know the layout sucks and there are probably many typos, right now though I really just need help with people that can put some of their valuable time aside to play a few games and see if they encounter and issues with the gameplay.

I have made a few updates to the KR 16 rules, including rules for Junker Insurgents and for damaging buildings.
A few other things have had minor tweaks done to them too.

I have also uploaded the first draft of the background.
The background is always a work in progress as it grows as I play games and release new things.

The rules are generic and can be used for any scale, just swap cm to inches to make it bigger friendly and as for the background, use it as is, just use some of the ideas or use nothing from it.
You decide how best to play your games, not me.

All the PDFs are free so you may as well take a look no?
