From my experience there really isn't a significant difference in game play between square and strip bases. In wouldn't have a problem with my opponent using strip bases for SM2/TL.

Hi Guys! I've been looking at getting into Space Marine 2E along with Titan Legions, the problem is I predominately have Epic 40k long bases. As I haven't had a chance to read/play SM2E yet, are the long bases compatible or should I stick to square bases? I know NetEpic supports these, but for the time being thinking we are just going to stick with SM2E. If SM2E doesn't support this would it be quite easy to 'house-rule' the mixed bases in? Thanks very much! |

I very much doubt that it would cause a problem. As Dwarf Supreme says, there isn't a major difference in game play terms, so the best thing to do would be to try it and see. There may be some minor problems, but nothing occurs to me off the top of my head. |

Thanks Irisado! I see you are based in Nottingham, are there many Epic players in the Notts area? Warhammer World is actually my closest store so is where I tend to do a ot of my gaming |

I don't have my Epic armies up there, otherwise you could play against me. |
