Hi guys.  I am having a heck of a time finding information about this box I have.  It is the Epic Armies Battle Group box for Space Marine, from back in 1991.

It contains IG, Marines, Chaos, and Eldar.  I am trying to figure out the value of the box.  It is all new, although a couple items fell of the sprue, but no damage, and the box has obviously been opened.  I have enough Marine, IG, and Eldar stuff for my gaming needs, and the Chaos stuff looks kind of strange compared to how Chaos is today.  I can't see myself enjoying having Trolls and Minotaurs in my Epic game...

So, I would like to sell the box, but do not have an idea of how much it is worth.  I can't find information on it since it seems to be a rare box these days, and I tried to compare values to the stuff available today but there are too many differences between what is in the box and what is available now.  Not too many IG armies running around with Assault Troops, Beastmen, and Robots.

I have attached pictures and would appreciate any responses. Thanks for your time.

Not sure of the worth, but you would probably make more by selling the components off separately. Of course, there may be those hardcore guys out there who want the whole thing... These days, it is hard to say for sure what this would go for.

You could always just put it up on ebay and hope for the best.

Mint SM/TL sprues go good on eBay. Figure $5-6 a sprue for the Chaos, Marine and Eldar. Guard will be more than that.

I'd definitely split it up, it'll help you and help those looking for just specific armies.

I was recently outbid on ebay on an IG box that contained 10 IG sprues exactly like the ones in your box: in the end it went for 47 Brit. pounds... And in another bidding, just 5 sprues (in a box but w no bases) went for 40 Pounds.

Let us know when you put the items up on ebay

I am interested in the eldar sprues myself.

If you want to save on ebay fees, PM me and we can see if we can work out a deal.

Thanks

I'm actually trying to trade it or sell it as a whole over on Bartertown.
Here is the link to my post, in case you have never been to the site:

If nothing works there, I will let you know frogbear.  Thanks.

Good rule of thumb is £12 for four sprues; so that'd be £60 for the whole box you've pictured (or $90US current exchange rate). That is GW's pricing for their current plastic sprue stuff, and EBay isn't a million miles off that. Of course, SMs, Orks and Eldar are fairly common, old IG, old Chaos and Squats rarer and 'Nids are in a whole other price bracket. Hope that helps and good luck with your trade on Bartertown! ;)
