Hi Everyone!
I've decided now that I have some IG, Orks, and Nids ready for playing E-A that I need some SMs.
I've started a chapter of Crimson Fists.
Any idea where to find background on them?
How about Silver Skulls?

Crimson Fists:
- I'm not sure if they've had an Index Astartes article in WD yet; I'll have a look when I get home
- I know there was loads about them in a WD around when Codex: Orks was released
- From memory:
The Crimson Fists are a succesor chapter of the Imperial Fists, and recently in the 40k timeline their home planet (Rynn's World iirc) was attacked by Orks...
- A malfunctioning defence torpedo fired at an Ork ship hit the fortress monestry, destroying much of it, and killing many marines...
- Then the remmnants of the 'Fists go round fighting a guerilla war against the Orks for years, led by Captain Cortez...
- After this I think they are currently supposed to be working up to full strength, rebuilding their world and fortress..
Disclaimer: I could be wrong on some of those details, but that was the basic gist... 
-As for Silver Skulls, I'm pretty sure there hasn't been much at all on them, excluding the colour schemes....

Yes, I remember that story line from RT... and maybe there was a W/D article?  ?

Basically, Stormseer is right, it wa the background published in an "index astartes" article some time ago. i can't verify right now, but maybe it has made it to one of the index astartes compilations.

The original background was in WD 94, in what I think was the second ever 40k:RT article, called 'Skirmish on Rynn's World'.
It has pretty much the same story as I described above, and has a scenario, 'Fists vs Orks- 'The Battle of Jadeberry Hill'.
A few more little bits of detail from here- the Ork empire of Charadon are the invaders, led by 'Warlord Snagrod the Arch-Arsonist'.
From the IA article, the Chapter Master is Pedro Kantor: "a contemporary of the famous Captain Cortez"...
Much of what was in IA was printed in (UK) WD 235, in 'Bloodied Fist: The Rynn's World Incident', and there is more information on the 'Fists, the battles and more.
