Random thought, where exactly is the Emperor's Palace? I know the obvious, it's on Earth (Terra), but is there anything in the background to say exactly where it is? America (everyone knows everything sci-fi tends to happen to/in America ![]() ![]() |

Hi! According to the old fluff the palace and most of the administratum occupies the whole tibet/himalayan plateu. Quite massive. Primarch |

Thats what I recall from "Inquisitor" as well. The Astronomican is transmitted from that region and the palace is pretty much adjacent to the whole Administratum complex Like much of the GW fluff, its enough to tantalise you without being too speciifc. The Portent 40k Background Forum is a good place to ring up qns like this- there are fluff masters supreme lurking in there! |

Hi! I was trying to remember the source, thanks for reminding me. I guess it makes sense to make it under a mountain, easier to defend from orbital bombardment. Primarch |

Yes, I'm sure in the early fluff it said it was in the Himalayas, too. I'm not so sure about those places in the UK though !? ![]() ![]() |

Some intersting little tidbits; -From "Inquisitor/Draco" by Ian Watson: "The stronghold of the Adeptus Astronomica was inside the mountain range known as the Himalyas. One whole mountain was sculpted into the upper half of a sphere of rock that housed the Astronomican." |

Hi! I don't think there are any more oceans or such on earth, way too polluted, so even the basins could be used as bases. Thanks for the tidbits Stormseer. Primarch |

There is a picture of Terra with the location of the Palace marked on it in the third edition W40k rulebook. Asia. Tibet. Is this enough for you? |
