![]() Hello, we would like to introduce ourselves. Ghost Train Games is a rising effort that assembles enthusiastic and creative gamers with decades of accumulated experience. Being players ourselves, we strive to make fans who join us in our fascinating world feel the same passion, fun and emotion than we do creating this game. Our first project is Alternative Civil War: 1861. Alternative Civil War: 1861 is a 28mm scale miniature wargame set in an alternate background where impossible science collides with ancient magicks and weird beings clash with courageous soldiers over the American Civil War battlegrounds. Alternative Civil War: 1861 uses a d20-based one-model-at-a-time turn-based structure with one active player while the other one is able to make reactive actions, creating a dynamic and exciting battle. There is a Tactical Reserve that allows the activation of special orders, the rerolling of dice or the use of abilities, which increases the options of the players. But beware, as the Tactical Reserve does not replenish each turn, players must administer it for the entire battle. The rulebook will be freely and fully downloadable, and during this Alpha stage, we would like to receive comments, ideas and suggestions from everyone. Our creative process will be open (although we have the foundations and direction of the game very clear). Do you have in mind some concept you would like to see in game? Definitely contact us! We want to study every idea, we look forward to hearing your thoughts. The Alpha stage will be running for a couple months, when we will start our Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, during we will release the Beta stage. You can download them on http://ghosttraingames.com/the-game/the-rules/ And of course you can check about the game on http://ghosttraingames.com/ In a couple days, we will release the starter kit profiles, so you can have a few testing games. Remember we are eager to receive all your feedback! We hope you love it as much as we do! |

We want to start with an "small" game to make the people's approach easier; we're trying a light option for fast and very dinamics games with 8-20 models per side. But we have already in mind a different rulebook for larger scales. |

What I think Lead Space is saying is wrong scale of miniature, not wrong scale of game. He's just being cheeky. |

6mm and 15mm games fall under the same "easy game rule". We didnt wanted to start with massive battles, but worry not! It's already on our minds, we love 6mm ... ![]() |

We have released the profiles of a few of the starter kit models so you can proxy and have a few testing games. Also, we have updated the Ruleset. There has been a few changes regarding Game Set-up and a few clarifications here and there. We suggest you read it through again before playing, has there has been some additions used in the model’s profiles. Here you can find the download links: http://ghosttraingames.com/starter-mode ... date-v0-2/ Remember, we eagerly await the feedback of your first games! |

Hello guys. As a “thank you” for you, our first supporters, we wanted to show you some of the models of factions to come (this is not only about North vs South!) and to receive your vote in the poll we are doing about what model to go for. We do present you 3 options of a model, and the one with most votes will come to life, with the look chosen and rules fitting it. You have the full info in our Facebook group , check it out! |

Thanks ![]() We use facebook as we think its a great platform for sharing ideas, but if you want I could take your answer here too! ![]() This is the initial design, the "unarmed" totem. ![]() This one shows the totem armed with primitive weaponry, a tomahawk made of stone and a small trunk. ![]() And this is the third design, the Living totem wielding a totem pole as weapon. You can go over our Facebook https://www.facebook.com/GhostTrainGames for full explanations and some of the opinions already given, or make your vote here, I will make it count! Bests. |
