What Im about to reveal to you will show you some of the scope of depravity that I get to live with, so bear with me :)

So Im going through my hobby room collecting all manners of crap that has collected dust over the years, and have been prepping it for sales on Ebay.

As I was digging through stuff, I was reminded that I have about a hundred mostly-naked female fantasy-style models from a dozen or more ranges. Most of them are 28-32mm in scale. I had collected them because its fun, Im a sicko, and I thought I could run them in any number of skirmish games, but honestly, never really found one that works well.

It dawned on me today that, with a little rebasing, I could use these in WFB! I loved 6th ed a ton, before I was sucked away to, and soured by, 40K. So now I'm wondering, what army could I use?

Right now, Wood Elves seems the most likely, because I have lots of skirmish-style models with little to no armor. I have some mounted, some archers, but a ton of swords or dual-wielding options. I have were-animals and dryad-like creatures, and over a dozen mages.

I also have a fair number of "evil" models, so can either represent the same army twice, or can even collect two armies. The bad guys are more like demons and evil priests, but have a number of other types as well.

Ideas?

Wood elves seems like a good fit, but wasn't there an amazon warrior woman army in one of the early editions? Or was I imagining it ;-)

A long time ago I planned to make a wood elf army using amazon models. Then I realised GWs Amazon models look like ass and cost a fortune.

I must admit, Ive got a fair amount of awesomeness. Ive got a long but impartial and not-updated list if others needs to duplicate my, errr, umm, interests.

Dark Elves might work for the bad version...my concern is big blocks of infantry, as I have no multiples in my army. Heck, I work at a game store part time. Maybe I'll peruse the army books when I get to work this evening :)

Thanks, all!

Look what I found today:

Kind of chucking at the timing of all this...

Geezum, no wonder Wargames Factory is still procrastinating on its 6mm plastic death robots!

I guess their 28mm Amazons might be a better idea than I thought.

OR field an actual Amazon army

The `books` are great quality, I have fielded my historical Irish at times with their `Albion` list

Nod, just found that and am STAGGERED at the timing! Insane! Im now in the process of making an army list to see what I have and what I'll need.

Question:
Most of my stuff is based on 25mm round bases. WFB would require most of it to be 20mm square bases. Ugh. Litko makes some nice wooden movement trays for round bases, I guess like Lord of the Rings does.

A) Is this doable?
B) Would this be frowned upon beyond comprehension?

Just wondering if I need to rebase 100+ models from rounds to squares.

"Frontage" is important in warhammer, so being on 25mm bases when you should be on 20mm is a big deal to a lot of players.
