I need available information about the Dark Mechanicus for my Titan game http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums/ ... 13;t=13748
Organisation, ranks, goals etc, anything.
I haven't read "Dark Adeptus" (yet), so I'm especially interested in the information from that source.

EDIT:
Maybe there is also information in Abnett's "Titanicus"?

Neither Dark Adeptus or Titanicus gives the info you are after. The former focuses mainly on the Grey Knights and the latter on two loyalist legions. Have you looked at any of the Adeptus Titanicus background? There might be stuff in there.

The horus heresy novel mechanicus should give you lots inspiration. It features the creation of the dark mechanicus and how they split.

Yes, but unfortunately nothing about the current Dark Mechanicus in the Eye of Terror. Never mind, I will just invent my own stuff. Don't imitate, innovate. 8v)

Yes, in Mechanicus they are still the 30K Adeptus forces, so not so different. There is background on them working specifically within the Eye of Terror, and utilising the lack of laws of physics for their creations (BFG Chaos Planet Killer and Infidels).

The Dark Mechanicum is only present drips and drabs of information but mostly we know that they marry the stuff of chaos with machinery for their creations, hense why we see the data-demons that are essentially part cybernetic.

The main quote for them from Dark Adeptus is that they advance without restraint, they experiment with everthing and anything and the result is usually pretty horifying - the background for Hereteks in Dark Heresy has them creating some pretty twisted servitor-like monstrocities, I'm trying to colate as much as I can for my Epic list.

OT : but that sounds like some of the demons in the Dark Future novels, now they were great books! Pity the re-launched black library ones petered out.

Dark Heresy gives us some insight into the wierd crap that renegade Tech Priests produce - although we get Data-demons from Dark Adeptus, the rest of the book is essentially bull because it suggests that the Dark Mechanicum was wiped out - which, by way of the Planet Killer fluff, it clearly wasn't.

To be honest, the way I'm working the Dark Mechanicus list for Epic at the moment, its a matter of picking out the mechanical abombinations from the Daemon Engines we know to exist as well as old 30k transports like the Rhino.
