Were either Hammers or any Epic forces designed to take the nukes of an OGRE? ???

One good Nuke Salvo could ruin the day for a lot of "tanks" etc.

Earth? what is earth? Everybody knows that the human homeworld is WaterSpike, in the alpha centauri system. And what is that "imperium" that you talk about? :;):

Health and sixes,

Nice OGRE !  All 3 of mine are with my Cultist/Traitor PDF ! :o  And DAF, in Hammer's Universe, they have anti-Nuc "dampening" fields as well as anti-FA/AA/Missile systems ... :D  Otherwise, massed armored formations are big targets !

L4,

Unless something new comes up in the fourth book, I just re-read the first three (thanks to our discussions in the other thread  :;):  ) and they have something that helped them pass through fall out and background radiation, not be in the center of the strike.

So, massed Armor would be a great target for an OGRE.

I'm trying to remember what story it was in ... yes ... here in the story "The Interrogation Team" ... in the "Caught in the Crossfire" book.  They use the term "NUC Damper Fields". Does not go into much detail, but it says " protected by damper fields which inhibited fission bombs and the fission triggers of thermonuclear weapons."  So I guess that would make a target harder to NUC ... :D   When it comes to Nucs, any little bit helps !

I kind of like the idea of human worlds that are not part of the Imperium, whether they be planets "lost human communities" waiting to be rediscovered or planets that choose to remain separate from the Imperium (which might have trade relations with the Imperium.)

Hi!

This is part of the old fluff I really liked. So much so I was thinking on an army list of advanced non-imperial humans. Something like the Ogre-related forces.

Primarch

I like that idea. I never thought of an army list for non-imperium humans. I was only thinking in terms of having them in fluff.

Interesting, I never took that to mean a direct hit would do nothing.  ???

Oh well, learn something new each day.

Hi!

They are in the files section currently in the netepic yahoo list.

It has a nice fluff story at the beginning too.
