The Battle for "A" book, was that offered - where? ?

The Black Lib. or G/W? ?

I'm old and forget things! :{ ?

If I buy the Armor book, I'll probably buy the other!

Hi!

In my usual "dense" ways, I dont quite understand the use of an Armor book" for a 28mm skirmish game. What is the point of these armor books that fasinate 40k players so much?

I checked, you can get the "Battle for Armageddon" book from G/W US MO ...  Primarch again, brings up a good point, but again, G/W is "artist driven" ... they do things "cause it's cool !"

But if its cool...and they portray it that way in their marketing (at which they excel)...then all the fanboyz think its cool, then they buy stuff.

Then GW artists think something else is cool...

Come come gentlemen, we are too mature to devolve into yet another GW slanging match on this one!

Lets concentrate our malice in the other threads about them changing model releases and not selling stuff in the right hemisphere

You obviously aren't a treadhead, so don't expect to get it...  :;):  Me on the other hand, to elaborate Hans Kreuger a bit: "There's no such thing as too many SUPERHEAVY Tanks".

Hi!

Oh I like tanks, but in 6mm, which is the only scale you can really represent a large tank battle with the usual space and minis most people can have and afford.

I've met people with 10-12 40k scale leman russes, FW baneblades and 40k scale titans and although they'll never get them all on the table they continue to buy more.

It seems beyond them that they aren't playing in the "correct" scale.... :;):

We have said that many times. If you have more than 2-3 vehicles on the board or more than a platoon of troops - you should be playing Epic! :;): ?

But that would also mean the 40K player would have to use a "good" set of rules... ?

And if you have dozen + 40K scale tanks and are playing 40K, you are without a clue! }:) ?

Instead of rolling the dice, just throw them at your opponents army... It's a better system than 40K!

Legion-4,

I don't know how you do it - the constant flow of conversation.

We already defined what "fanboys" are...

You're the "anti-fanboy!"

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I am not sure who has done it (but I guess it was Maksim) but someone has changed the title of this thread.

It now reads

Imperial Armour Book - Black Library

It should read

Imperial Armour Book

(at least Armour was not changed to Armor)

Can I state for the record, I have asked for my posts NOT to be "edited". I especially don't like them to be edited and changed to be "wrong".

The Imperial Armour Book is published by Forgeworld it is NOT published by the Black Library and is nothing to do with that arm of GW.

I will now as I have on previous occassions that I am not happy with the moderation on this forum and if it continues I will vote with my feet and leave. If I want my posts edited and changed I know where I can go! I also recognise that if everyone else is happy with the situation then fine I will go.

Jimbo (not happy)

Well, I have also found weird the edition of NAMES of threads. Editing the spelling and grammar errors in my messages to make them ore comprehensible to other people is something that I in fact appreciate, since my mother language is not English, so I am aware I usually fail in several parts there :) On the other hand I found weird that the name of threads had to be changed as well. It adds nothing to the overall topic and makes it look like a third party titled your thread. In fact this is what it is, heh. Well, I can stand it without much problems but I can see how other people doesn't like it.

And the voting with the feet issue is something I have just studied this year, so it made me laugh :D;)

Health and a lot of sixes,

Xavi

PS: problem with epic is that it is not even sold in Spain, so playing it is quite pointless around here. Let alone the fact that everybody plays 40k, so the band wagon effect is difficult to achieve to get a turn of the players to epic. it is better to start drawing them to BFG ;)

Jimbo,

I apologize. I slipped and forgot as I've been careful to respect your wishes.

Please forgive me.

Hi!

Legion-4,

I don't know how you do it - the constant flow of conversation.

It's easy Maksim, you either talk a lot when:

1. You really like something: example epic!

2. You really hate something: example GW!

3. Or you are really bored: example primarch on most days of the week!  :p
