I wish KoW was played around here, because I'd like to try that again.

Honestly, though, I can't find enough players for ANY miniatures game I'm interested in playing anymore. AoS and 40K are played, and I like AoS, but I can't drive that far away safely to make it worth my effort. No Epic around here, either. I'm almost to the point of just getting rid of everything miniature-related and giving up on the hobby completely. Or at least just focus on converting miniatures, which I tend to enjoy the most anymore. Heck, I even loathe painting at times now, and haven't picked up the brush in two weeks. I'm sitting on unpainted AoS, and a lot of Epic stuff, that's just rotting and going to waste at this time...

You could try moving somewhere else. For the wargaming.

I almost feel exactly the same: I tried to find players for non-skirmish games but nobody plays that.

AoS came out, and even thought it is quite "skirmish", I like it, but nobody plays. Then I thought: let's see what they play and see if I like anything: 40K is played a lot, but I don't like it because there's zero tactics or strategy once deployment is finished, and it is very unbalanced. X Wing: ultra skirmish, Infinity: ultra skirmish, Malifaux: ultra skirmish, and so on... :(

At least we have 4 Epic Armageddon players locally and another 4, 100km away.

To be fair, Infinity is moving towards 400point games which means you have basically two "warbands" on the table with more models.

I'm in the same situation. I just moved, thinking I would have far more gamers near me, and would get in more games since my old club met only once a month, and i could barely ever make it. Now I'm in a town where there seems to be no club at all.

I heard that there are some 40k players who meet far on the other side of town, and it's kind of a struggle to get the motivation to travel for 70mins each way to play a game I don't really like. Especially when I can't seem to contact them online, and would basically just be turning up randomly.

I think skirmish games can be fun, but I far prefer mass battle(rank and flank, or EPIC style- both are good)

For Skirmish-battles i would recommend Inquisimunda!

Is there actually a common / fan fave ruleset for Inquisminda though? I keep seeing great modelling blogs but no obvious suggestion of how to play the game?

Inquisitor was a horrific ruleset so I guess Necromunda is the basis.

I have the same issue with finding players. Eventually put something in the "meet up's and conventions" section on here, and got onto a new player that way. I think there is also a few facebook pages, and you can also try the miniwar site.

Hijacked my own thread!

The Miniwars website is a great idea, should have signed up earlier. I posted it on my local groups forum and another 5 of us signed up to it which puts a lot of dots on the map in the Thames valley area. =D

Inquisimunda rule set is quite fixed I believe - hasn't changed for 5 odd years - something like valley of ghosts hosts it. It was down for a while but now back up I think, plus you can find it on yakromunda.

You also see a lot of inq28 online, which is just inquisitor but played with 28mm figs.

Yes, they're planning another revision of Inquisimunda now also. Interesting ruleset anyways!

Wow, thanks - I had no idea there was a ruleset like that!
