Help needed, I need some inspiration to model a Bombardment Cannon (normally mounted on Space Marine Strike Cruisers and Battle Barges). I just have no clue what one would look like. Do you have any ideas or anything? Please share them here (pictures would be even better!).

Thanks in advance!

I believe it’s the turret above the launch bays on the BFG strike cruiser, and the two turrets along the spine of the battle barge. It looks like an imperial cruiser lance turret with extra gothic flair.

I don’t have a picture, but Vaaish’s imperial fist ships show up right away on google images and he’s painted the turrets black so they’re quite visible on the yellow. I would describe them as navy destroyer turrets (double barrel) with lots of extra bits. They’re quite small compared to the hull.

There's nothing that makes them anything exactly looking like XYZ in BFG (seriously, look at the models-designs are all over the place). That being said, they're almost always modeled on turrets and if I may draw an analogy to Epic scale figures (which you're an expert in), if a lance was to a standard Leman Russ battle cannon, a bombardment cannon would be visually a Demolisher cannon, if that makes sense. Big, blunt, and stupidly strong looking.

I was already thinking of a demolisher cannon like gun for it, I guess great minds think alike!
