Hello all,
I hope to play my own 40k Skirmish Campaign at some future Date. Let me first give some Information about what I plan, before I show my Greens.
The Campaign will take place in a remote Frontier Sector, which was rediscovered by the Imperium just some Generations ago. The Sector will house all kind of human and alien Societies. By some Stroke of Fait are many human Residents in the Sector from Asian Descent and this Fact still shapes their Societies. There are still numerous human Planets which resist the Imperium.
But one Imperial Institution was already there, long before the Sector was rediscovered. The mysterious Adeptus Astartes
Space Shark Chapter stood Vigil for thousands of Years. Their Homeworld lies still beyond the Grasp of the Imperium deep into the Sector. Most of the Chapter's Space Marines patrol the Imperial Space in all Segmentae and even the dark Void beyond in small Units (mostly Squads) with small Escort Ships.
The principal Performers of my Campaign will be one Squad of Space Shark Space Marines. The Squad had suffered horrendous Losses including their Sergeant during their last Patrol. It has been rebuild with new Recruits. The new Leader is a young Sergeant recently promoted to his Rank. The Squad is his first Command. He is very young for his Position and feels obliged to prove himself and his mostly untried Squad.
The Squad has passed all Tests in the Training Facilities of their Homeworld and now they are ready for their first Commitment.
The Scope of each Campaign Game will be very small with just one Space Marine Squad supported by Chapter Serfs (Ammunition Handlers) on one Side and, depending on the Enemy, a greater Number of Squads on the other Side. I am not settled on a specific Rule System. My Starting Point will be a modified Version of FUBAR with which I want to allow Space Marines to be superhuman fighting Machines.
The Games will be mostly small Infantry Battles and such I need many different human and non-human Infantry Models with only a few Vehicles. Each Infantry Miniature will be based individually on an Euro-Cent Coin.
I do not like the old GW Ranges for Epic because they offer too few Poses for the Infantry Models and the Space Marines were much too small. So I am bound to sculpt my own Miniatures and that is slow going. Another Problem is that I like true Scale Models and in which available Rhino Model fit ten Space Marines?
And so we come to my Greens. I was unhappy with all my Attempts to model Space Marines so far, but made a little Progress with my Orks. The Orks wear Soviet Style Uniforms.
The first Miniature is an Ork Boss, which I call 'Murdak da Butcha'. I intend to use him as Nemesis for the good Guys. Murdak is not intelligent, but is cunning and a deadly Foe in Close-Combat. He will lead a Mob of likeminded Brutes.
Staying with the intended Soviet Style for my Orks is he modelled to wear a Coat with Fur Collar and a Cossack Hat.
The last two Pictures show why Murdak is called 'da Butcha'. He likes his Fights close and personal and to chop his Enemies into small Bits. So he carries a Human Head at his Belt.
I am also quite happy how this Grot turned out. The Grot will be placed onto the Base of an Ork who fires a big Machine Gun. The Grot stands before the Ork and points to the Target, while spent Ammunition Cartridges rain down on him and he holds his Ear. He wears a Soviet Style Helm.
Greetings,
Heinrich
