I've had some requests to make an Aeonic Orb, but I have no access to any of the Necron fluff to know what one looks like. I've Googled around and seen some of the cool scratchbuilt varieties, but I was wondering if anyone has an "official" description or pic they could share?

Thanks muchly!

There are some nice suggestions in the Epic: Raiders supplement (p121 and forward)

I do not really remember seeing an official description.

Here is my take on it

I decided to do something tall, like Hazza31B's version. Here's the initial WIP shots:

Like all 4 - 2nd and 4th best of all.

I'm going with #3. The orb should be the focal point of the model and hiding it behind the necrony bits does it disservice (plus that'd be a bitch to paint :) )

Okay, I'll go with #3.

You know, if I doubled this thing in size, there would room for an LED and a button-cell battery inside...

Well done, sir.

I think I like 2 best. I've got a two inch plasma ball I was planning on using for an orb, if I could fit that on there and have a hollow body section to fit a battery it would look pretty sick.
