My first building just got released!

Alpha Hab Tower

Quote:
The Alpha Hab Tower is designed for 6mm/8mm gaming, but it could probably be upscaled for 10mm and 15mm scaled gaming as well. This makes the Alpha Hab Tower suitable for games such as Adeptus Titanicus, Dropzone Commander, or Battletech.

The kit consists of the following parts:
- 3 types of entrances (all windows, single row of balconies, double row of balconies)
- 3 types of back walls (all windows, single row of balconies, double row of balconies)
- 3 types of side walls (all windows, single row of balconies, double row of balconies)
- 2 types of roofs
- 7 types of balconies

Please do no share or sell these files (including prints and remixes) without my written permission.

These fellas were originally designed for a project called Ash & Rust, a 6mm post apocalyptic vehicle setting in collaboration with the very talented Christian Schwager Very much inspired by stuff like Mad Max, but also Necromunda's Ash Wastes, Battle Angel Alita, the Alien franchise, and so on. The original idea behind these gangers was that they are salvage crews that have kinda gone rogue, forming their own armed gangs. It kinda fits with the narrative I'm working on for Bits Blitz Designs, so perhaps it'll be a revival of Ash & Rust?

Work on the orbital ring colony continues. These structures are often built in the orbits of worlds that undergo the terraforming process. They form the bases from which these worlds are made suitable for human habitation.

Plan is to make a printable model with a diameter of about 80mm. Ambition is also that this is but the first item of fleetscale civilian terrain. I'd love to develop more such orbital cities, space mirrors, stations, etc.

Work on the orbital ring colony continues. These colonies are constructed in orbit of worlds that are to be terraformed. The worker drones live most of their lives within the inner structure of the ring itself, whilst the elites get to live a luxurious life on inner surface of the ring.

These rings have a diameter of about 50 kilometers, the last two pictures will show you the true vastness of this structure. That tiny ship trying to enter the ring is a 750 meter long Light Cruiser I've designed for Vanguard Miniatures. Plan for now is that the final model will most likely have a diameter of around 80-100mm.

The very talented Crablezworth (check out his stuff here) had my designs remixed, then printed and painted them up. Check out the signage and little drunk fellows.

Lovely stuff! I like the merry twist to grimdark tropes a lot.

I feel a lot of grimdark themed terrain, whilst very awesome, lacks this 'lived in' feel to it. I think that Necromunda comes closet to this sort of stuff, especially with the release of their market stand kit. But I think that this sort of thing would also work in 6mm/8mm/Titanicus scale.
