Hi!

Hopefully, one of our many residence geniuses in these matters will do just that. :)

Or point you in the right direction. Either is good! ;D

Yes. This done up in plastic would be great. It's got a distinct non Gothic brutalist feel to it which makes me hope it could compete well with the arched-windowy stuff out there.

Ok, so I started working on a tank, you know...just to have something to drive through these cityscapes...

I imagine this to be some sort of APC, still need to put some weapons on there, was thinking of a turret on the front of the tank, probably something to blast (heavy) infantry and (light) armor with.

Hmm, ended up putting the turret on the back, makes more sense since it can turn 360 degrees.

For the more perceptive ones amongst us, I started working on something heavier as well...

Tweaked the tank some more.

The turret needs some more detailing, as does the front. Then I can play with the big tank! :D

Turret on the back looked better to me. Also, maybe make it 20% smaller...

I know what you mean, the only thing I'm worried about then, is that it'll look too much like the Ironside tank by Pig Iron.

I moved the turret to the back, let me know what you think.

I'm slowly getting there. The turret needs some more details, and I'm planning on removing the front window thingie, looks a bit odd.

In the background you can see a tank with a more WWI design, just couldn't resist the temptation of doing that! It carries two larger versions of the APC's turret on its sides. I was thinking of adding a main weapon in a hull, some sort of flamethrower type of thing, meant to clear out buildings.

I like the window after all the driver needs to see were he's going.

The window is also the first place I would shoot at when trying to stop such a vehicle. I know modern military vehicle design is slowly moving away from clear windows, instead working with cameras and screens. I'd imagine this APC to work in a similar way. Small drones (think small Tau drones to speak in 40k terms) fly around the vehicle, functioning as its eyes and ears. The driver is plugged into the tank, information sent back from the drones flow through the driver's neuro-link, meaning that the drones and tank in a certain way become an extension of his own body.

In the meantime:

I preferred the turret at the front. A different design from the standard tank variant.
Either way , great work.

It's a rather chunky 6mm tank. One thing that always bugged me about the Rhino tank in 40k was that it never really looked as if it could fit 10 power armored giants in its hull...

Here two more shots:

Image
Next to a 6mm human and in front of my building designs. Note that the dozer blade is still a very early WIP.

Image
I also modified the turret somewhat, allowing gun elevation of depression on each gun individually. Not sure if it's fully realistic, rule of cool I guess.

@lylekelm: The hull (minus turret and dozer blade) consists of three parts: the two track components on the sides, and the 'main hull' in the middle. I could always come up with a hull variant that allows you to put a turret on the front. :)
