I need some defilers, thanks to IJW Wartrader's thread, I've identified these as a source of suitable legs, I'm pretty sure I can find a suitable tank turret amongst the EW/DRM ranges to provide a battlecannon and secondary guns, my nurgle plague hulks will be made from 40k nurglings and other bits however I need some good claws, brutal looking claws, and I'm coming up short for those.... the ork claws from the plastic gunwagons would do at a pinch, but they don't look sturdy enough to my eyes I could attempt some plasticard work on some of the spiderbot legs I suppose, but wanted to check here if anyone has any suggestions for suitable donor models? even a 10mm scale excavator may work, but I've not found anything yet I'm trying to make these dudes look fairly close to the GW style so suggestions of "why not just use <model X> from <insert manufacturer>" are appreciated but not helpful, unless they're really really close to the defiler cheers! |

ooh interesting and suitably hefty looking! will see if I can get some numbers on how big they are, thanks! other suggestions still appreciated! edit: those things are massive.... they fit on the CoA land-battleship so are probably way too big.... |

I've been pondering the same problem. Those legs from GZG look ideal. Didn't realise Spartan did bits. How about the following for claws? http://shop.spartangames.co.uk/ProductD ... Code=DW012 |

interesting but not sure they're the right size (the metzger is warlord titan sized after all!) I think I have a plan based on the Audrey/oubliette scratch build here |

I think you can make a lot of substitutions though... legs from the GZG spider bot main body built out of the EW Guild cyclops heavy mortar turret Guns made from the Guild Enforcer Urban Pacification MKII LLE Sponsons and the EW Guild Enforcer Urban Pacification MKII Grenade Launcher Sponsons You could get hold of some suitable sized tank tracks from almost any airfix kit, or cut a chassis out of plasticard like I plan on doing then it's just making up some claws using the cutting templates on the site above, and pidding about with files, knives, jeweller's saws and glue...... |

Sounds pretty solid! The GZG legs are really hot right now. Looking forward to all the wicked things to come ![]() |

This new stuff from Exodus Wars might be a good starting point for them, especially for those that run Iron Warriors! Attachment:

That does look very chaotic in design. |

Off topic but that mini doesn't look too good.. Looks like a robot that got under imperators foot and got squashed. For defilers there could be some nice parts like mentioned |
