Cheers, feedback would be appreciated.

Must confess, while the teleporting/mining units in TL300 were genius, i'm not so keen on it in the DID setting... Don't get me wrong, mechanism for generating units is still great, but fluff does't seem to "fit." Wondered if you might change it to (off board) dropships or similar...?

I was thinking of having *actual* dropships at some point. :-)

Also, more expensive / specialist "parachute" type troops could be done down the line, that could Teleport in at a distance from the MCV instead of directly next to it.

In order to keep troops from being able to start basically anywhere, you need to be able to constrict starting positions. Otherwise there's very little tactical complexity to the game.

Anyway - main comment - RELEASE THAT SMALL BATTLE MECH ALREADY !!! ( its awesome )

I could open it up for pre-order at £6k?
It's an expensive model (actually several models) that'd need most of the way to £7k to fund.

I did matter print the masters for it once, but sent it to a crappy caster who promptly destroyed the 5 master prints.

Yeah, get the requirement to have restrictions on new unit placement. I guess computer RTS's use a "mini factory" quite often to get around the bazaar-ness of "building" units bid battle, and you get used to it - might be odd if mobile though... JZ's guiding troops with teleport homers would be interesting. I had though the drop-ship idea might make AA units very useful - closing down your opponent's drop sites...

Obviously on board drop ships will be fun too - but i was trying to distance my idea from the DZC concept of your whole army needing air transport represented on the board. It's my main gripe with that game - don't want to spend £50+ on dropships before i can even start building a decent army.

You've mentioned a few times that you've had masters destroyed by crap casters.
Do they reimburse you or just go, 'whoops, I destroyed your work?'

Also, make the Cybershadows a stretch goal already! This mugg will pledge stupidly for them.

Sorry, forgot to mention the Mech. Sounds pricey. i was reading it as a 3 piece model (body/legs and 2x arms) - is it bigger than that ? Are we talking EA DC 3 or 6 ? :)

Could it be modified a bit and cast more simply to keep the cost down ? i'm assuming people may potentially need a couple of dozen if it were the size i was thinking - what sort of unit cost would it come out as roughly ? Would surely sell like hot cakes...

ps - Are you advertising the indiegogo anywhere but Taccoms?

There's a render in the alpha version of the DiD ruleset PDF posted.

The walker is 30mm high and can be seen in E&C's previous thread. I guess they're expensive as they're big and there's probably a lot of different arm options?

They look cool but I reckon it's more important to improve what's on the plastic sprue.

Epic?
DC1 or 2 I suppose, in truescale. In old models it'd be almost as big as a SG Warhound.

I was looking at a price point of 5 for £16, or thereabouts.

A few forums. Also actually paid for some facebook advertising which got some views but not a great deal of monetary action.

They were a *really* crap caster, so no. Sigh.

I'd like to open them up when/if we hit the next stretch goal at £6k.

If done properly (4 different moulds*) they'd take up a £1.5k stretch before the next goal (perhaps the Cybershadow Light Mech could come in at £7.5k). Just how stupid would your stupid pledges be? :-)

*
Character & Specials set: 2x Commanders Sprue, 3x Heavy Weapons & Menial Cyborg sprue, 5x plastic bases - £6

Infantry Set – 16x robed infantry sprues, 16x plastic bases - £15

Heavy Cyborgs set – 8x Heavy Support Cyborg sprues, 8x plastic bases - £9

Ultra-heavy weapons conveyor – comes with a choice of 4x weapoons (cannon, laser, plasma, missile battery) - £10

Price points sound acceptable?

Many thanks Llamahead. Just £220 now until we can open up new stretch goals.

Latest status on the plastic sprue - factory now has the complete "Ultimate Aliens" side of the sprue, and a human side of the sprue that includes a missile trooper. Getting a quote on that version of the sprue, and we'll see where we are as regards sculpts soon...

Great to her about the Cyber Shadows ( and great name to boot :D ) Unfortunately my monetary pledging is being stiffed by boring new-house things like hoovers and washing machines at the moment but i don't think i could live without some big cyborgs - you know, life's essentials ;D Hope my pledging of enthusiasm is helping things along though !

As for the small mechs; hadn't expected them to appear in this campaign, was just voicing my enthusiasm again - but as with the cyber-shadows can't see how they could fail. Unless everyone's wallets are feeling the strain - might be worth keeping for another campaign...?

Prices for everything seem very reasonable btw - though i guess people expect a deal when crowd sourcing.

Advertising - have you tried Tabletopfix or TMP ? i haven't seen you on there, but then i been cruising the interwebs much lately - too much time checking this forum! :D

Keep it up !
