I'm trying an experiment on reddit - looking to see if people are willing to split sprues with me.

Well, I'm in. Just a small pledge for the gobblers at the moment (can never find those things anywhere), but am mulling over more stuff...

Thankyou for the vote of confidence Shelfunit. :-)

Like maddoctors pic of the M3 - scifi version of that would sit really well alongside the churchillian as a scout tank... Otherwise might have to look to the historicals...

I'm still hoping for the Tech-cult *hint-hint*
However there is a local Ork player who is interested in splitting the sprues with me, so I may be tempted into a Guard army. Is it possible to see an expanded human sprue like you've just done with the Orks?

I'm in for the the tech guys and some human fighter planes. Any plans for air transports and ground attack planes?

And you are doing great keep up the good work.

Has antone mentioned the great need for Alien fighter airplanes that the world is having?

I'll go second, then.

The world needs brutish fighterplanes, possibly looking like jury-rigged Me-262s held together with duct tape and fervent willpower. They would complement the Lancastrians very nicely, too.

Please excuse me if I missed something, but what is the status of the stretch goals? The project page is a bit sketchy at the moment, and I am not sure what plastic poses are intended at the 6K level.

I'm currently negotiating that with the factory - it may be that we've already achieved a new pose or two. I'll update as and when we've firmed up the figures.

:o Wow! Let us hope so! That explains the not so precise text. Smashing job, Ben.

Here's that Defeat In Detail Alpha rulebook, which could potentially one day become a printed rulebook (or maybe become an abandoned & ignored relic).

It's basically a slightly expanded version of the Timeline 300 rules, which we've been playtesting for a couple of years now. Army point values are probably entertainingly unbalanced right now. :-)

Some references to Timeline 300 probably survive right now, heh.

Rules look fun - hope to try it out soon.

Must confess, while the teleporting/mining units in TL300 were genius, i'm not so keen on it in the DID setting... Don't get me wrong, mechanism for generating units is still great, but fluff does't seem to "fit." Wondered if you might change it to (off board) dropships or similar...? However I can't work out how you control drop sites without teleporter units...? Maybe orbiting space ships? Just my little thoughts.

Anyway - main comment - RELEASE THAT SMALL BATTLE MECH ALREADY !!! ( its awesome )

Create a detachment type called a path finder. Thnk the sci-fi version of those guys on D-Day that went in a few hours early to set up the radio transponders to help the gliders come in on target. Can be made up of the existing riflemen units so doesn't require sprue changes.
