Sure that makes sense - upgrade figures could go on in any order.

This sound like a good order?

Alien Heavy Trooper > Alien Leader > Human Heavy Trooper > Gobbler > Alien 2nd basic trooper pose > Human 2nd basic trooper pose > Human Leader > Potato.

The metals haven't been helping the progress of the campaign much so far - most of them have barely broken even, only a few have really made good profit to be put towards the plastic sprue. Some haven't even broken even, and have dragged profits back down (ok they're mostly the newer ones that haven't had as much time on sale, but still).

Unless people can guarantee £1.5k of sales for Cybershadows, I can't risk the possibility of putting the four* new moulds' worth up and then them not selling - they'll actually drag profits down if they don't achieve those kind of sales numbers.

How much would you pledge for a Cybershadow army? If we can get enough "I'll Pledge" hands held up I'll put them up when/if we hit £6k. Otherwise, they'll have to wait.

*Five, if we include the Light Mechs.

Here's my preferred order:
Alien 2nd basic trooper pose > Alien Leader > Human 2nd basic trooper pose > Alien Heavy Trooper > Human Heavy Trooper > Gobbler > Human Leader > Potato > 2nd basic Potato > Chips.

Reasoning: Monopose trooper sprues were boring in the 90s; and if funding doesn't permit everything in plastic, I'd rather have metal heavies/human officers and more interesting basic troops (which this sprue already carries) in plastic.

Also, the Gobbler is already available in metal; a few of my mates (who pledged purely for the gobblers) are saying that since it might now be available in plastic, they might withdraw their pledge and wait. :-\

Tell 'em gobblers are last on the list, and if they withdraw then they'll get even further away, heh. :-)

Tricky this. I have not pledged for gobblers, so would not mind them. But I can understand why those who have pledged metal ones would not be pleased. Seems we might have a beginning cannibalization issue.

I have already stated my point of view, but really I think the only thing that you could provide that isn't already quite easy to find is varied poses infantry.
At the moment for example, one can still find sprue from E40K era on the 2nd hand market at a competitive price, with A LOT of different types of troops. But you cannot make a stand of grunts with several poses with them.

I will speak with the factory after they get back with the latest quote. At the least I think we should be able to flip half the Alien warriors left/right for no cost.

What Athmos said.

Ultimately, sprue that makes cool-looking basic troops and additional metal bits to make 'game-legal' > sprue that makes 'game-legal' but boring models.

Great! :)

Human 2nd Basic Pose; Alien 2nd Basic Pose; Alien Leader; Human Leader; Alien Heavy; Human Heavy, Gobblers right at the end. Possibly even add 2 more Basic poses before getting to leaders.
As others say, Leaders/Heavies are suitable metal add-ons. The Plastic Sprue should be about getting the basics spot on. It's also better to balance the two factions than have one clearly superior to others.

Excellent. Something so 'basic' will make a great difference. Even more so on the humans than the aliens.

Seems to me the ideal order would be:

Alien Pose2
Human Pose2
Alien Heavy
Human Heavy

Alien Leader
Human Leader
Gobbler

Leaders are the least important unreleased figure to be plastic, they're the least numerous unit, so their inclusion in plastic is not particularly important. Honestly, after the break, I don't think any of those need to be plastic at all, better to have them in metal as Add-Ons. I know i have in my bits box a bazillion duplicates of the characters that were packaged in with various basic sets, because I simply do not need very many of them. Keeping them metal also allows for:
Better and multiple poses for the Aliens (including, one hopes, some sort of super heavy armoured option, perhaps as an entirely seperate sprue) More options for Humans (such as political officer)
and better detail for all. Plastic Leaders seems like something that is better off left out, with the moneys being spent to produce cheaper and more plentiful metal add-ons (or more basic poses. I know i'd rather see three Alien poses than two and a boss, atleast on the sprue that is likely to be acquired in bulk)

Oh and I put a gun on the hull of the IFV before sending it off for the latest quote, as per requests a few pages back.

Heavy Cyborgs set – 8x Heavy Support Cyborg sprues, 8x plastic bases - £9

Ultra-heavy weapons conveyor – comes with a choice of 4x weapoons (cannon, laser, plasma, missile battery) - £10

Price points sound acceptable?

The Price point look acceptable to me.

I don't like the heavy weapon conveyor, but I reckon I'd probably be in for 2 sets of each of the Cyber Shadows infantry set, which would make it 60£ of preorder / pledge.

Oh and here are the Cybershadow infantry model masters, for those who wonder what they'd look like.

Sorry for the blurry photo. Taking a shot of something that's essentially see-through is quite hard.
