Re: the extra alien, do people think an alien with a chunky rifle should be done before a second pose of pistol and axe? They could replace 1/3 to half the existing axe and pistol troops and still be used as basic infantry but it would be more variation.

Wherein we'd create a special pledge dedicated towards upgrading the plastic sprue.

Pledges towards that element of the campaign would get something to indicated they are a "Rifleman" (perhaps a limited edition Indiegogo-only pair of Leader models, one for each faction?), but barring the cost of the unique figures, every penny pledged towards that goal would go directly into upgrading the plastic sprue.

So pledgers would get a pair of limited edition figures that would never be available elsewhere, and they'd get to upgrade the plastic sprues at the same time. How does that sound as a way to get us the upgraded sprues for £700 in pledges rather than £1000-£12000 in pledges?

Now that's thinking with portals - sounds great. A £50 pledge sounds like a good level.

On poses - I'm more interested in the humans, but agree that the aliens would benefit from an extra pose first. Chunky rifle sounds good - if done right, it can be a way of indicating a heavy gun, or simply an aesthetic difference.

I meant an alien with a regular chunky rifle as a possible alternate basic infantry variety, seperate from a larger heavy weapon.

50 quid seems a bit steep. from the pledge support excel sheet IGG gives you you should be able to plot pledge value vs TOTAL money contributed - should give you a nice curve, probably in a possoin distribution. Pick the top :)

(if you've already done this and it is 50, I take my hat off to everyone else's spending power!)

EDIT: hell, do it twice, once for money added to total and a 2nd time for money put towards sprue improvements (correcting for the metals). Pretty them up and release as part of the update announcing "apologist's rifleman" to explain the reasoning.

I think a chunky rifle for the aliens would be a superior alternative to just an alternative pose.

Too bad it's not 5-up, that would have made it 40k scale!

Sounds like a winner, actually.

If you put that up as an option, I'll contribute to it. I can wait a bit on the way-cool metal tanks.

I don't know if the question has already been asked but I would like to know if all these products will be available after the indiegogo campaign through the online shop of Troublemaker Games...

Yep that is the plan - right now all profits are going towards making the plastic sprue better. Long term they will be available through TMG.

Quick show of hands please: Tapered base edges or the more flat-edged version.

my gut reaction is that tapered is a nicer choice, but if they're supposed to be flipped for the bikers etc, straight might be best

The tapered ones would actually provide a fractionally larger surface area for the bikers and other non-standard models. This is due to the straight sided ones actually having a 3 degree taper on them (side tapers are a requirement of the plastics production process).
