Yes Alf's right metal upgrades which were a pledge option from funder 1, these things have been gathering dust at Ben's for a few years now.

Ok chaps plastic's update as promised.

Situation is this, Ben and myself have agreed the terms and signed the contract for me to package and ship all the funder 1 pledges. So to that end a few weeks ago I received 14 big boxes full of 3000 sprues and 16000 bases ready for when I can start the job.

There has been a minor hiccup in that the skinnerz big guns for the artillery pledges have gone missing and so we need to get a new mould made in order to fufill these items, other than that it's just down to me having the time to squeeze the job in. I plan to ship over the course of a month but hopefully quicker than that it all depends on work comitments/real life.

Rest assured I will post again as soon as the shipments begin and I should be starting very soon.

A few pics for you all.

Your not wrong it's going to take a lot of effort and time.

The sprues come with little legs on them so they can be stacked for transport these mean that you need quite big boxes to get the sprues in especially for the large pledges which is going to bump shipping charges way up I should think.

Most likely once the pledges have been sorted I can get them in store. Personally i've been disapointed in the figures themselves as the humans are a bit spindly and the skinnerz are oddly posed but that's my view the vehicles however have there uses so the sprue will be put on sale alongside the metal upgrades ASAP.

The finished product only bares passing resemblance to the original design concept created by Ben this is not his fault in any way but has come about due to a series of design compromises forced on the project by the factories inability to deliver on the original design even though they accepted a contract to do so. So my view is buy them for the vehicles and consider the infantry an added bonus.

All IMHO of course.

This has been an epic struggle literally to get to this position it has seen the demise of Troublemaker Games resulting in a great lose for the community of talent and potentially the whole model range as well fortunately I was in a position to step in and keep the miniatures on sale and will be developing new minis for the future but it should have never come to this and I feel saddened that TMG went under because of it when it was in no way their fault that the factory couldn't deliver on it's obligations.

At least Ben's back creating miniatures for use all again which is good news i'm sure you'll agree.

Regards

Those human legs lok sooo thin! I hope they dont brake when separating from the sprue. You are doing a great job with this project. I for one had already given up on this. The lesson is that there's always hope :)

How thick are those legs anyways, looks like less than 1mm!

Very curious to see this plastic stuff return, and to see that Ben is back at making miniatures, very curious to see what he'll come up with. :)

@ Lead-Space, yes they are very thin and so you would need to be very careful removing them from the sprue.

Hope yes I suppose your right, thanks for the positive comments sir.

@Malika2, it is Ben who has designed my new scout walker the two new heads and my novan elites light tank so you have already seen some of his new work. Also he has done several designs for the Age of Tyrants range too.

Gosh those look fragile. :-X

I feel so sorry for Ben, it's not his fault that things went the way they did.

Nice to see the plastics are finally coming to the end of their horrendous journey!

Its a shame that the ork stuff has gone missing, especially as that is what I ordered them for! So near yet so far!

It looks like they never did the fixes on the stuff, those humans do look spindly as hell, I was hoping that they were going to be awesome enough to mix in with my CinC imperial guard. Have a suspicion that most of them will end up as corpse on my nurgle bases, which is a shame!

The bases are the best bit though- I'm running low and found several use for them that I've not found anything better for- except for using them as actual bases! ;)

It was pretty awful that Ben couldn't have gone back on this and just stuck to making metal minis, I think we would have had a lot more DiD stuff by now if he had. Still a little disappointed that he just kind of dropped of the map after this all went down the pan, especially as they have finally arrived!

I'll start shipping very soon now i've been working towards it the past few weeks biggest problem was sourcing boxes big enough to take large numbers of sprues for the big pledges.

The finished product as can be seen was not what we had all hoped and in all honesty is pretty disappointing especially considering the time and money invested in it. Biggest lesson learned was not to work with a factory in china, no ability to communicate with them directly was pretty useless and even the UK based agents didn't do what Ben wanted half the time.

Still it will all be over soon for all concerned.

Ben suffered serious ill health as a result of the pressure and worry over this disastrious funder something that i'm sure everyone here will agree should never have come about. This combined with another loss making funder No.4 pretty much was the last straw for troublemaker and sealed it's fate. Ben decided to sell the models and move on to other things for awhile although it is still his intention to fufill all outstanding orders and funder pledges.

Being a long term outside supporter of TMG on occassion I was offer purchase of the range and jumped at the chance. Since that time Ben has now returned to designing new models for us all including the new Jackal class warstalker and the Novan elite's light tank.

Anyway I got a little side tracked there but as I was saying at the beggining plastic shipments are imminent.

Cheers
