We're starting to flesh out the background now, in preparation for getting the rulebook on show.

Too much metal in a starter set would make it hard to keep the price down (and offer a discount over buying the items separately), so we couldn't do too many full metal formations I think.

I like the idea of including some aircraft though!
But with aircraft, we'd probably want to include AA vehicles too...

Sounds like a good start ...

Keep it simple. Some plastics and one characteristic formation for each faction plus a leader and done. Top it off with some terrain, bases and such and done.

Random thought: When we finally get our plastics out, we could do a starter game set?

An excellent idea, and the list you give looks pretty comprehensive to me. Personally, I'd restrict it to purely plastic if you're intending to use it as a gateway into the game. You've got the basics on the sprues: troops, tanks, bases and terrain. Along with a stripped-down rulebook, that's a quick-start set right there, and would keep costs down.

A complementary 'Experts expansion' box – with the full rulebook, and metal expansions to both armies is then a tempting choice.

It would be nice to have objective pieces to protect, destroy or fight over like a wounded soldier with an important briefcase, a homing beacon, secret cargo, ammo cache, warp gate/portal or a special artifact.

Hi Evil and Chaos,

First up, I really like your miniatures, particularly and oddly enough the bases. I have a couple of questions about future releases. Do you have an idea when the Novak vtol flyers will be released? Also, do you have a general release date for the novan winter troops?

Many thanks
Col. Hertford

The Novan VTOL's we're having remastered in a new larger size - ETA circa 4 weeks (I have the masters sitting on my desk now, so they'll be in the next lot of moulds we have made after the Crowdfunder #3 lot).

Novan Winter Troops, we're expecting the castings in this week and will begin dispatches immediately to our crowdfunder backers. We could put them up for pre-order on the TMG webstore, and then dispatch them as soon as the crowdfunder backers have had their sets dispatched, how does that sound?

That sounds good to me, how about the Bulwark? Is that included in the VTOLs mentioned above?

I agree with Yorkie, that sounds like a plan!

Attention grabbed. Though very WiP yet, I gather. Wish list is more organic rounded shape on the tank, in all dimensions, and somehow the legs seem very short on the dudes and dudettes. Will there be really big eloi tanks too?
