I like the double-layered aspect of the updated carapace, and the removal of the pointy back from the earlier modifications is good. One particular point – I like the fact the shoulder weapons now sit flat. It's both more stable for construction and looks more realistic, somehow. The additional arm plate's an inspired idea – nice one wraeththu! It'll be a great place for freehand unit/tactical ident marks.

Which weapons should come with the Leviathan Stalker?

My choice, based mainly on aesthetics (plus missiles on top are a proper mecha trope)
Arms: Single Barrel Macro Laser and Siege Howitzer
Shoulders: 2 x Rocket launchers

Any suggestions for anything else to sculpt?

Jimmyzimms' idea of quad-guns for the shoulders is a cool one.
I also like his idea of a close-in weapon like a fist, ball and chain, energy whip or chainsaw.

Would one or two alternative heads be a good way to differentiate them for people who buy multiples? Something with boxy curves and asymmetric multiple eyelenses would work with the aesthetic; and you could build a gun on one side or where the mouth.nose would go, too, in case people wanted a head with weaponry.

I agree with moredakka that it'd be nice for the head to have more space for the crew. This design looks a bit like the bridge of a battleship/spaceship, which might be a nice design cue?

On a personal note, I always loved Mongrol from the ABC warriors, and think a head that looked like this would be awesome :)

Armoured Infantry Concept. Any interest?

They look nice to me, though I agree with the calls for bigger jetpacks and ammunition feeds on their rifles. Perhaps boxy or straight magazines?

I hope you don't mind; but I fiddled around with the heads, dropping the ears down a bit and extending the cocks-comb crest: there seemed to be something a bit off about the proportions, but perhaps that's to help casting?
Image

I wonder if the heads could be built up around the 'jaw' a bit? Something like a TIE fighter pilot:

... or a mediaveal knight:

While we're talking about it, I'd like to see a kneeling pose and some different guns – like a big machine gun instead (or as well as) the rocket launcher?

How tall will the walker be to the top of the model, not counting shoulder mounted weapons. Somewhere around 4.75 inches - 5.25 inches tall?

-A

I'd planned on it being about 9cm-10cm tall depending on the pose.

Yeah, neither head is quite working for me atm. I like those precedent images from apologist... If you want to avoid the medieval/skull look, perhaps the Greek "T" helm could make an interesting aesthetic?

As for weapons - would it be better to sell the body and weapons separately fw style? Perhaps 3or 4 different weapon packs (of 2 arms & 2 upper) with compatible load-outs...?

Could do that, yeah. Was intending to make weapons packs available as part of Crowdfunder #3 anyway.

Have done the arm shields.

I'll try a different head tomorrow... I think she's almost finished?

Now we need a skinnerz opponent for this beauty to fight.

Oh any chance of a skinnerz drop pod for the funder?

Not a fan of the new arm armour. I applaud the new thickness but I think an actual armour plate looks better than it being moulded right onto the arm. Also, arm mechanics need more tech bling and gribblies (<= a technical term ;D)

Image

As to the armoured infantry, I like where this is going but I too concur that the backpack needs a size increase. I DO like the round features on it which help differentiate it from You-Know-Who plc. I think that adding ammo for the weapons would be a great idea though stay away from clips and use a drum container as

*image edited out because of swearing

1. it's totally more metal that way ;D
2. another way to differentiate the models
3. clips are so 20th century. we're onto caseless ammo now! :D

I could race the clock to get those sculpted while the funder is running... :-p

Sweet! my orky drop legion would be most pleased.

Can't see my crew hatch on the LS yet. ;)

If that's what will make you happy, I guess you deserve it by now.

Leviathan Stalker looking good and some combat weapon options are always welcome.

As for what weapons should the kit come with, that's a tricky one especially if we get up to a dozen plus options across the arms and shoulders. Also how difficult do you want to make picking orders for yourself.

Here's a question the Ordnance Conveyor comes with a sprue of four weapons, will you be looking to use the exact same sprue with the LS?

If so you could keep it as simple as LS (A) and LS (B) both with an arm sprue and a shoulder sprue.

For so for example you could have a weapon spread like this:

LS (Awesome)
Arms Weapon Sprue (A)
Single Barrel Macro Laser
Twin Rotary Cannon
Pacific Rim Style Sword
Powered Manipulator Fist-like thing

Shoulders weapon sprue (A) - Current Ordnance Conveyor options
Twin Barrel Laser Cannon
Siege Howitzer
Rocket Launcher
Twin Plasmic Cannon

LS (Biffsome)
Arms Weapon Sprue (B)
Triple Barrel Laser Cannon
Siege Howitzer
Energised Wrecking Ball
Powered Manipulator Fist thing with chainsaw style attachment

Shoulders Weapon Sprue (B)
Single Barrel Macro Laser
Twin Rotary Cannon
Twin Flame Thrower
Heavy Missile

With this simple approach it could also stimulate lots of community debate over the optimal weapon mixes for the sprues. Of course you may have something completely different in mind.

Another LS thought I seem to recall a request for AA weaponry pods which with the multitude of Novan flyers isn't a bad idea at all.

Final LS thought, an option in CF3 to purchase in combat groups of say 3?

Other CF3 thoughts. There was a mention of Novan Command somewhere in the past, be nice to see them turn up.

Not feeling it myself for the Armoured Infantry right now.

Skinnerz Walkers yes please.

Churchillian Turret variants works for me, though it would be nice to be able to buy just the turrets.
