Hi everyone, some of you might remember me from the 6mm forum where I showed some minis I'd built for Microworld Games http://www.microworldgames.com/collecti ... -scifi/TEF And if you shop at Ninja Magic or Khurasan for spaceships and 15mm respectively you'll perhaps also have some examples of my work. I produce a lot of my own designs for myself and others. You can order example models here http://www.shapeways.com/shops/coolhand and obtain some exclusives. If you're interested in producing some miniatures, need fresh designs or someone to realise your sketch in 3d, please get in touch: http://coolhandgraphics.blogspot.co.uk/p/contact.html Keep up with all things Coolhand at my blog http://coolhandgraphics.blogspot.co.uk/ If its OK might update this thread with any new shapeways models and take requests etc - "I'd love this in X scale." for example or, "how about more Mechs?" Cheers, -Steve. |

El Diablo is a very special model! tons of background detail here and a couple more pics http://coolhandgraphics.blogspot.co.uk/ ... etera.html I'm designing it to be printed with working parts, at a very small scale http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEyemUe47-8 hopefully this will work in 15mm but perhaps might need to be printed larger to prevent parts fusing - in which case you would have fixed but incredibly detailed suspension. |

Well I am looking at it to go the opposite direction: 6mm. If it was in 6mm scale I would buy a metric assload of these (and I am sure that there is plenty of people here that would as well - would make a great Chimera variant for Adeptus Arbites IMO-My original intended source is no longer available for reasons widely discussed). 28mm would be neat too but useless for me. 15mm would be interesting if say the new Spartan games 15mm line takes off. Nothing prevents multiple scales now does it? |

Infact, that is more difficult than to scale up:) because parts are built to a certain tolerance... Its far from a show-stopper but parts of the model would have to be reworked to do that - otherwise it won't print if parts are too small. All the same that's a scale I often model for, thanks for the feedback and I'll certainly make a 6mm version available soon. |

Ok guys here's a 6mm scale version for you all, get em while they're blisteringly hot and mildly radioactive. (erm, in actuality of course its perfectly safe plastic, I take no responsibility for any injuries caused by radiation, gaping jaws or excessive drool production clogging keyboards) http://www.shapeways.com/model/728130/d ... ee58681efd btw I may do a 3 pack if there's interest, this makes it cheaper per unit as ordering singly will incur the flat setup fee of 5 dollars every time! let me know if you want multiples, let me know if you want different sizes, this is inter-active miniatures production people, now, today! raaaaaaaaaHhhhhhh!

Very nice. I would be looking to order a lot of these, so obviously interested in more APCs for less cost. Multiples of 3 or more (perhaps 7?) would be more appealing. Any plans to do a tracked version? Cheers |

Coolhand wrote: let me know if you want multiples Quote: Awesome! Yes i'll need at least 3 to transport my arbites right now (and more in the future) so a 3 pack would be great. Coolhand wrote: let me know if you want different sizes Awesome. One of things I should have thought about when I said 6mm is that most of us here are playing in 6mm "epic" which often is more close to 10mm in reality (like how GW 28mm is really actually 28mm "Heroic" scale which is a little deformed style). I should snag one and compare. If it's feeling 6mm true scale it's still handy as a "patrol car" vs a SWAT team transporter as originally thought as using. ![]() Don't want you to rework but 10mm might be interesting too... How about we see in reality what this comes out as? Coolhand wrote: this is inter-active miniatures production people, now, today! raaaaaaaaaHhhhhhh! Bad ass. As Humphrey Bogart said, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship ![]() BTW, you're the guy that designed the nova space ship! (I failed to click through to your SW store in the OP so am coming late to the realization ![]() |

Ok, thanks to a suggestion i have made a slight revision that will help people if they want to paint out or do something with the interior, i have removed the roof and placed it on the sprue for the aero parts. I also reversed the turret on its sprue, so that the barrels are protected by the wheels and sprue itself is shorter. This will be going up to replace the version on shapeways and any existing orders will be automatically updated to this improved version. Also, the 3 pack will be going up soon.

[patiently waits with bank card in hand] Any thoughts on eventually casting in white metal? I expect you'll see how these work out first ... |
