So I've had a play around with casting stuff, and I've had great results using silicone (filmsil) with both resin and metal, I turned to silicone after oyumaru was insufficient for getting decent casts of 6mm scale infantry models, not to mention that it gets bubbles inside it from melting and folding to remake it, plus it's not suitable to cast resin or metal as it softens when heated

I was browsing mageboltrat's thread recently (WOW :o ) and noticed he used gedeo siligum to cast his defiler legs.... I have done some reading about this stuff and fancy giving it a try as it can handle resin and low temp metal, without the faff of pouring liquid silicone and catalyst all over my carpets.... then having to wait 12 hours for it to fully cure

just wondered if anyone has tried using the stuff (with any material, resin, metal, greenstuff, milliput, playdough....) and whether they would recommend it? I'm looking to scratchbuild some chaos stuff and don't want to fanny around with silicone repeatedly to make duplicates of lots of different bits.....

I'll probably get some anyway, just wondering whether to get the 100g set to test, or jump in with the 300g set for more substantial mould-making....
