Would dropping the bases save you 600 quid in tooling costs? (or are they cheaper than models, due to simple geometry?)

We need to be able to supply bases in some form. In one way or another it'd cost us £800 or so to make or acquire the bases separately. That's £1200-£1600 in pledges. It's a priority, but not the first goal. First goal is to get something useful into production.

Screw bases. There are boat and boat loads of resin bases out there with crazy detail. There are even plywood bases for 6mm. I would cut a deal with one of those suppliers if the demand was high enough for bases.

New Minis are what we need.

I shall refrain from obfuscating this rather clear message ;)

Reciprocal bluntness - buying in bases from another source means the price per box would have to go up.

If we have our own bases sprue, we keep costs controlled, and we also visually set ourselves apart from other 6mm games (an important legal consideration - this must be a distinct range for obvious reasons), and it means we cater to the future of 6mm gaming instead of only its present.

I've already said that if you pledge and we reach stretch goal #1, you can have just 5x inf+apc sprues and no bases in your boxes if that's what you want. What more can I say?

I like the bases. For a beginner it's much better to get bases in the box than to have to hunt them down on the net.

Yep I also like the idea of circular bases, though preferably on a second sprue. If I was to do it all again (all my epic armies), I would go circular. Did it with my Feral Orks and Tyranids.

Also being able to sell those circular bases sprues separately would be great.

If we can crack £3500 that'll happen.

OK, I relent. It is easy to get carried away knowing your capabilities in mini designing, E&C. This is directed primarily towards the I-have-not-played-or-collected-6-mm-befores. Bases, preferably on a separate sprue, are necessary.

But even newbies deserve to have crude exhausts on their alien vehicles ;)

I mean the means to direct smoke from burning fossil fuel in engines. But an optional spud launcher is probably a stretch goal?

So I designed a plastic sprue for a bit of a laugh, complete with IP-free tanks and infantry.

OMG! Why are these not the "ultimate human" side of your crowdfunding sprue?

I don't mean the tanks. They are nice too, but your current ones are better. But the infantry is astounding! I espeically love how the standard riflemen come with two different elevations to their rifles.

They were too spindly for plastic production.

As to poses, more pre-orders equals more poses.
