Hi. I've been scratch building this aircraft for some time, it's far from done but i've started paying more attention to it as of late. I'm trying to figure out a way i can model some vector thrust ports on the side of this beast. If anyone has any idea's don't be shy. Also if anyone has any other ideas on what i should model on this thing i'm all ears.

Thanks for your help, here is my aircraft.

You're thinking Harrier-style thrust vectors?

I'd start with: carefully. The fuselage isn't more than 5-6mm wide, is it? Maybe just GS some bumps into the bottom, blend, and sculpt some parallel grooves like on Eldar intakes. Looks really nice, almost like an Eldar Switchblade.

Could be worse. The way those wings open it should have been called the butterfly [knife].

I don't think i'm exactly thinking harrier style, more like just vents that can open and push side to side and that kind of thing.

The widest part of the craft towards the back is about 13mm wide, and the thinnest part is about 8mm wide. It scales nicely alongside SG thunderbolt, it might seem big but i think it fits nicely because it's made to be a multi-role aircraft. Also everthing is contained in the main fuselage. Here's an example pic.

So this is what i have so far, i've almot taken them twice now i'm not sure if i like them at all. Maybe i need to make them a little smaller, or another shape?

Hard to tell from a photo (looks like there is milliput in places already) but for the outer layer of body work you might want to try using milliput rather than green stuff. Milliput can be sanded down once cured, allowing you to get very smooth surfaces and remove easily remove left-over tooling marks.
