Hi Guys,
After the earlier suggestions on the chimp form, I have done a bit of disection to see what ti look like, The head has been moved at an angle and moved downwards, And the left arm has been chopped and turned up so he will be able to hold a pistol or a sword if he is an officer chimp!

The back legs still need doing as does the joints of the cut arm, plus final filling of gaps and weapons etc, but fairly happy with it as its something different. well here are a few pics hopefully it will look a lot better once finished and painted fingers crossed.

Then again, chimps aren't known for wearing power armor.

It's a dog-eat-dog world, and I've got my Milkbone underwear on.

No im going to leave it without a tail, Trying to keep it full chimp like but as Otterman says chimps dont wear metal armour either But defo no tail, Im having enough trouble at looking into to casting this already, E & C explained and clued me up on a few dramas it will cause when casting, As im new to this casting game im going to get somebody else to cast the finished product.

The idea of this project is just be able to try some more greenstuff work and get something cast at the end of it, So hopefully i will end up with a minature that i have created myself in metal! Then of course build a bionic chimp army with the mould!

There will be more designs to come, but this is what i had in mind from the begining, Looked into the metal casting and to be honest its not worth doing for a just one minature like this,

E & C explained about the casting dramas etc with edgeing problems etc, I have looked a bit more into this and may of found a way to get round this, i found a moulding kit thats fairly soft and moulds stuff like this to get round edgeing problems, Its using an easy resin mix, Its a bit of a wing and prayer deal but its worth trying.

Will disect the chimp once finished and cast the head,arms,body and legs seperate and weapons separatly hopefully in one little mould.
Hopefully this will give me a few to paint and see how they come out glued in various postions etc i.e standing on back legs etc.
Will see how it goes, quite excited about making a mould If it goes ok and the stuff comes out decent, i will paint them up to see what they look like, until the paint touches them i wont be happy until i see the final result!

Should check out the Jammer faction in Shadowfist. Such gems as Battlechimp Potemkin, Apes of Wrath, Big Macaque Attack and Chimpanzer should provide some inspiration

Hi Guys, Well Some pics of the cast bionic chimp! The casting went ok so far as the body, legs etc went, but the bummer was the head, i always got an air bubble by his mouth, but tried a new mould and things improved slighty! However still not happy with the casting of the head so have made some little green stuff moulds for the head and these work out ok, so will do this till i master the head moulding/casting.

Have not had time to make the weapons as my main effort was to get the body so i can reproduce it to build a small army,
The final cast minature in the picture has been painted scab red, I ideally wanted it to be a matt light green to represent an army colour but didnt have any at the moment so have used red for now!

Hope the pictures show the sort of thing i was after when i started the project, Not the best castings or the best paint job but over all im fairy happy with the result and enjoyed the process and learnt a few things on the way

Anyway heres the pics of the final bionic chimp army soldier! Minus weapons as i have not sculped them yet
