What products do you use for casting? I'm considering casting buildings so I don't have to handmake every one, and also so I can add more detail to the ones I do make.

My current thoughts are Smooth On OOMOO 25 Silicone and Smooth Cast 300 or 305.

Go to MicroMark. One stop shop and you dont have to buy gallons just to find out if you are not good at it. I like their stuff

ya, smooth on is what I use, good for simple gravity casting. oomoo 30 and smooth cast 300 is what i been having most success with.

I was considering 305 for the longer pot life, but I'm not sure it's neccessary.

depends on how complicated and how much stuff you are casting at a time. if its some thing that looks like but is not the old epic 40k ruins, dont need much pot life. but if you need to spend time pushing out bubbles and are making lots of little bits, then ya, extra pot life good.

I also use Smooth On 300 and found it to have excellent detail. I do lots of detail stuff though and find it sets a little too fast so I have to rush - hence Ill probably go with 305 in future
