Yeah, sorry i was being a bit cryptic.

I think Apologist and i are roughly on the same page - bigger shoulder armour to balance up the legs. I'm not so sure it needs to come much further forward but i think something more on the back plus rounder/ hunched would look great. I also had a little (and extremely rough) play on photoshop, hope you don't mind :

Personally, i would stick to the rounder "pauldron" style on the outer plates and i would add more of the mechanical detail under the arms. I'm also not entirely sold on the head either. ...that said its difficult to tell from a couple of static images - you will have a better idea of how it looks "in the round."

However, over all this blows me away !! I got the opportunity to see a few of your "Big Walkers" at the Bristol WW and was stunned. This looks like it will be even more impressive. I reckon you have already funded your 3rd campaign with this one model :D

Blip, I bow to your superior photoshop-fu – that looks just what I'd be after. That said, the original is a fantastic model as-is, so it's really polishing an already fantastic design :)

+1 on the round shoulders please: I was going to convert a large walker out of several really nice walker kits that I've bought in the past and was going to aim at a similar aesthetic: this model would do away with any such need.

Blip's version looks much better, I like the larger, rounded shoulders.

Not so keen on the pointy back corners i still prefer the original design and think that it just needed the carapace to extend a bit further back to lend bulk/weight to the upper body.

Anyway just my opinion so please convince me otherwise. :)

Somewhere between the two for me.

I like how the change makes it a little more like the Stalker aesthetic.

Throwing my bit into the mix. I like the idea of a beetle hybrid. Using slightly rounded armour covering more of the shoulder joints and arms. Attached are images I hacked up in photoshop. The front panels are separate ones joining under the main "shoulder" armour.

Damn all you PhotoShop wiz people. I like ^this^ two panel version. It adds that certain distinctiveness that makes it clear we're not apeing another design. I'd like to see a few panel lines and hatched thrown onto the top armor as I always feel it looks flat otherwise.

Sorry, think my hack photoshopping accentuated the pointy corners too much. Somewhere between those and the one you did for moredakka was prob what i was aiming at.

More images of the squarer one would be useful...

I like that one from wraethu too. Not entirely sure it needs to come forward but i guess they could be optional.

+1 For more hatches and panel lines.

A concept based on wraeththu's sketch... had to raise the front panels a touch for casting reasons.

And yet another concept.

I'd really like to get this locked off and start the crowdfunder in the next few days. :-)
