It costs quite a bit to get a miniature from concept to the playing board. E&c is lucky in the fact that he can do the 3d designing himself it saves him a production step, and in my experience at least $150 per miniature in production costs.

Often much more for me, because I like doing silly big multi-part things.

I understand it costs a lot, but the last campaign exceeded its last proposed goal by a few thousand £, which is A LOT. Printing + set up of production molds for a titan size mini in metal should still be well under the thousands bucks range, even with enough parts to require several molds (which is a lot).

Crowdfunders are usually meant to be money for investment, so I'm curious to know what additional models this money will be used to set the production for.

FIrst crowdfunder was a loss for me due to the costs going up 4x what was expected, so some will cover that cash that had to come out of my own pocket at that time. What remains may at least partially be used to feed my baby daughter food instead of mud. :-)

I don't really think it's our buisness what people do with their income as long as they deliver the goods we're promised... I couldn't care less if they use it on Crack or to invest in future projects, thats entirely their descisions.

Damn, thats alot of words i can't spell properly also...

Hehe, I agree so long as Ben doesn't give Crack or mud to the baby.

Having said that, Skinnerz could use some ramshackle Behemoths to fill out the line... tracked or walking is fine...

Agree completely. I'd be perfectly happy if E&C, deacon, and everyone else took home a fat chunk of change. They've certainly earned it. If I'm getting a product at a price that is worth the value it gives me, then who cares how much it cost him to make it?

Here's hoping your future crowdfunders put you well into the black from day one.

I'm not saying that designers or producers shouldn't get a salary out of their job, I don't know where you're reading that.
