I'm still toying with the idea of printing the moulds directly, and casting them in hardened bronze. But that still needs a working plastic injection machine calibrated to it, which might be difficult.

yeah I had the same idea actually, was thinking it might be a good project to work on but it would almost certainly end up too expensive for a spare time, shed project

This is an awesome idea! the 6mm scene really needs more plastics.

A kickstarter would be cool for this. Anyway kickstarter or no count me in for a couple of boxes!

Indeed, I'll be starting one for just the tanks quite soon.

Might have a stretch goal of getting a sprue of infantry too.

Ok then, before I start a kickstarter, here's the new sprue design:

I'd be looking to produce them in sets of 3 sprues, for £25 (similar tank quantities from other companies would seem to cost £70 or more) giving:

12x MBT's
12x MBT Cannon Turret
3x MBT Long Cannon Turret
12x Artillery Chassis
12x Artillery Cannon
3x Twin Flak Cannon (sized to fit on to the Artillery Chassis)
15x IFV
15x IFV Turret Cannons

Definitely workable as a second goal, if the initial sprue gets funded.

I could see space for Fighter aircraft, Bomber aircraft, Strike aircraft (think scifi harrier jump jet), and transport aircraft (think V22).

Currently chatting with our tool cutter to see what funding we need for the tank sprue.

I see an order of our 10mm scale metal infantry with plastic bases on Troublemaker Games, I assume that's you. :-)

Could the MBTs get any more side detailing?

Some, but not much more. That's an issue with plastics, unfortunately you can't get much side detailing on there unless it sits on the mould line, and even then you can only do projections, not concave areas.
