You should have multiple wing options to allow variations using the same body - swept back / straight / forward / X-wing / biplane... :D

Promising start! A bit more chunky, crude and ramshackle would be in order. Maybe considerably smaller wingspan too. Maybe an open cockpit with just a blocky windscreen?

Modified based on feedback - more square-ish cockpit, moved the cockpit & wings forward for a semblance of aerodynamic balance.

Yup. I was thinking a pair of under-wing cannons, and rockets.

Also it needs a jet engine exhaust nozzle at the back, currently it's just a flat ovoid. :-)

I'd like to see a smaller more machinegun looking weapon on the gunners turret. At the moment it looks to me like a large calibre slow firing cannon less suited to defensive fire.

Not yet, I couldn't afford to get them moulded yet because my plastics project turned out a bit more expensive than anticipated.
