It's listed on the main page at the bottom that they''re metal since that comment.

looks like it was a pretty good day for the campaign we're approaching stretch2 already!

Looks like stretch goal 2 is going to be reached easily.

Seems there has not been this much development of the 6mm scene in decades! Well impressed.

Aye, I'm going to have to sculpt hard to keep up at this rate!

Blimey – only 80-odd quid off the next stretch.
Hurrah for payday! Looks like this weekend could be a big one :)

GZG, EW, and DRM have been working steadily, but with less upfront cash and much less publicity so they've not been able to release as fast as they'd like. Onslaught seems to be racing E&C, though heaven knows where the seed money is coming from :)

I suspect his tiny bug people have been hilariously popular, considering how quickly they sell out every time he gets a batch in. :-)

I'd be suprised if stretch 2 is not reached today.

We need votes going to decide on stretch 3 soon.

The next stretch goal should be a new alien pose, and metal vehicle upgrade packs, e.g.

Human Vehicle Upgrade Pack:
2 AA Turrets
2 Flame Thrower
2 Artillery Cannons
2 Mortars
2 Missile Racks

Alien Vehicle Upgrade Pack:
2 AA Turrets
2 Dozer Blades
2 Front Spike Racks
2 Lifter Cranes
2 Big Blaster Guns

Something like that anyway. As has been mentioned already, things like this make the core plastic sprue more useful, which is the main goal of the project.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of a "bit of everything" upgrade pack, seems people would end up with a lot of stuff they don't want.
My preference would be for something like:

Anti-Aircraft Set
4x Human AA guns
4x Alien AA guns
2x Plastic Infantry & APC's Sprues (Plus enough bases for the infantry)

Flame Tanks Set
4x Human Flamer Upgrades
4x Alien Flamer Upgrades (or would these be better done as smaller stand-alone vehicles?)
2x Plastic Infantry & APC's Sprues (Plus enough bases for the infantry)

Artillery Tanks Set
4x Human SPG Upgrades
2x Alien Big Cannon Upgrades, 2x Alien Big Laser Upgrades
2x Plastic Infantry & APC's Sprues (Plus enough bases for the infantry)

Etc?

With the price for each being roughly £22 (+£3 international) for each set?

The idea being that each set provides a matched pair, more or less.

Long term we could open up component orders for people who only wanted Alien Big Cannon Upgrades, or whatever, but for the Indiegogo we're limited in the number of product types we can offer so they'd only be available in sets there.

I think people are more likely to end up with stuff they don't want that way; realistically most people are going to want to collect one army, and being forced to buy stuff for the other army will stop them buying in the first place. Most people would rather have spare parts for their army that they may use at some point (or magnetise to use all of them...) than pieces for another army they won't use at all.

Keep the flamers on the same hull for the aliens. You could either put fuel tanks in the bed and a flamer over the cab (one component) or a flamer in the bed and a fuel trailer (two components). Not sure how metal component count affects your bottom line, of course.

They're already getting two armies with the mixed sprue, and it doesnt sem to be hurting funding. Let them have upgrades for both armies. That's better than choosing which army to upgrade, and another four metal components won't add much to the asking price.

I'm getting really psyched for this now. I bought a load of the add-ons yesterday so can't wait to get hold of them.

Question time though; you've put estimated delivery date of July. Is that feasible? It seems extremely close, especially since you'll need to get the molds cut and sprues delivered. Metals I can see that working, but I don't see it working well for plastics.

Also I'm afraid I'm still not keen on the alien vehicle. It still looks too much like a snow plough to me. I'd much rather have something like this:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... hield.JPEG

That could easily be an open-topped vehicle and given tracks if you wanted. Doesn't look like too many undercuts if the wheels were made bigger and would still be a relatively simple shape to make. If the current design is to stay, could you perhaps try flipping the tracks upside down so they're more like \====/ rather than the /====\ that they are now?
