Now that looks crude! In a good way. ;D Still cannot figure out why these aliens who seem to enjoy building by bashing whatever they find together care lots and lots about having equidistant uniform whatever across the centerline. Less of that, and it is perfect.

Make them cyborgs of some sort? Then they'd love tech, and they use their robes to hide all their weird modifications. The "real" cyborgs would then be the shock troops who are crazy enough not to care what they look like.

Technotheurgist

Bit of a mouth full but obviously techno relates to the technology elements, but Theurgy has a meaning which fits well with what is trying to be described (from wikipedia):

Theurgy (from Greek θεουργία) describes the practice of rituals, sometimes seen as magical in nature, performed with the intention of invoking the action or evoking the presence of one or more gods.

Plural could be something like Technotheourgoí as theourgoí has been used in texts to describe a group of people practising theurgy.

What do people think?
