Interesting models! I've never liked the other "samurai" marines I've seen, but those are an exception!

I think the trick lies in subtlety. As in that you only need to include a few tiny influences there whilst still maintaining the original aesthetic. I noticed most samurai themed Space Marine stuff looks odd because it most of the time ends of with a normal marine with a big katana or parts that don't fit with the power armour aesthetic.

Subtlety is the key. :)

I know this sounds odd coming from a guy that put a huge dragon on a ship's prow, but I agree completely :D

Well, the dragon is ornamental, it fits with the aesthetic of BFG. :)

You know, you and Deacon need to team up and do a space combat ships of the line game for the various Onslaught Mini factions. :) [hint hint hint]

That would be so awesome!!

I don't think Don would need me to design some ships, though :D

Two points:
1) The crescent wing tips would not interfere with the broadside weapons after the first shot or two... With the downward cant (which I like), I am surprised they interfere.
2) Maybe a less severe crescent shape or, at least, complete the arc. The current wingtips look...weak or hesitant...somehow. These appear to be ships operated by aggressive beings.

Hi Rob,

Could you send me a PM with perhaps a sketch of what you're thinking of? I'm interested in seeing your proposal!

By the way, I think the customer that asked for them is not going to use them as chaotic evil ships, but rather as a variation of the space traders! ;)

Hi everyone,

Here's the cruiser with some alternate wings (thanks Sawbones for the suggestions!); what do you guys think?

Personally, I like them a lot...but then, I would ;0). Nice wings! The wings just look more warlike now rather than like fledgling wings on a baby bird.

Thanks guys!

I don't have new models to show for the moment, but in the meantime it appears the newest cruisers and frigates have passed all the printing checks, so hopefully they will available soon! (them and the cosmic pharaohs frigates, both small and large...)

Hey everyone,

The Rising Star ships and Cosmic Pharaohs frigates are avaiable for sale :)

I set up cruisers models with the older and newer wings, so you're free to choose your favourite!

I can't believe it, they did it again!! :{[] :{[] :{[]

This time, the version A cruisers are fine, while in the version B the dragon head is too thin (never mind that they all have the same dragon head....)

Sorry about that Sawbones! Did you by any chance have a fight with a 3d printing engineer in the past? :)

To make it up for you, I'll model a special ordnance marker just for you (although whether it will print, that's another story...)

As I messaged you on Shapeways, I'd suggest you to cancel your order before they start printing something, and see what they answer to the message that I just sent them!
