Very glad to see your reworking some of these miniatures based off of feedback ben. Everything is looking pretty damn good so far, keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your next crowd funder :)

Right. Extra sponsons. That explains the lower cost - fewer molds. Well he shows the steel rain in open and closed position, so I assume the support variants are two piece.

Steel rain would have to be - I canna see a way to cast that as a one piece cap'n!

Maybe the sponsons are separates pieces as well ? I guess we'll have to wait for the Blue Werewolf answer on this.

Yup I think we can cast the Wellington in one piece to save costs. The other two Heavy tanks are going to be multi part.

I'm looking after the baby today while my wife goes out to work, but I'll see about getting some size comparisons posted up ASAP.

Agreed, they are great design, even if I'm not as convinced by the triple mortar as by the other ones (but the triple mortar one had a lot of fans when the concept was first shown, so I guess it's OK ;) ).

Here's a quick set of comparisons.

The Wellington is wider in the hull, and although it has the same chassis length the hull overlaps further forwards and sits higher for the Wellington. It's between a third to a half more massive than the Churchillian.

I think the tracks need to be about 20% wider or the sponsons reduced my 10% seeing head on.

edit: wider tracks would grow towards the middle. Not out, if that makes sense.

Yes. Much sense makes that. More track width! Less sponson overhang!

I think the relative widths are ok - its difficult to judge things in true elevation but the 3Ds look great.

Must admit, i was hopping the whole thing would be a bit bigger - more of a 50-man SH if you get me... but when i saw the price i reckoned i was being optimistic! :) Still think its viable, i have many eras of stuff so nothing is in relative scale anyway! ;)

The overhang looks more than it will look in r real life due to me running the render without perspective, for a direct width measurement.

Possible to get a Wellington side by side with the plastic set APC?
