Nice Blip, I like the raised center carapace. It adds some interest to the carapace and makes the head area stand out more.

By the way, for those of us still stuck in the old-skool / false-scale world, is there a chance of a 70% scale version?

I'd need about £1000 of sales either way.... might be able to arrange a custom matter print for you which'd cost quite a bit, ~£150 at a guess.

I had another little fiddle - something about the carapace is still bugging me. Not sure that i if this is an improvement but thought i'd throw it in for discussion. I'd still like to see the full length image from the rear. As was previously posted, if the carapace is separate i could see you getting plenty of mileage out of this design in the future with alternatives.

Have attached a raised carapace concept, and a full height rear view.

Could put a lot of different symbols on that raised area of carapace, maybe make the carapace piece available as a Shapeways item with a number of different icons on it for people to use?

Gotta say £40+ would be top end for me.

I'd note, that price would include postage cost to the UK.

I'm not opposed to the raised centre look. :)

Also i like the idea of a integral weapon set with other weapon sets available loose.

That would let me drop the price down to £35, including UK postage.
It does come with the drawback of less flexibility.

Okay then, what should the fixed configuration be.

I'm going to set a budget of 2 Arms Sets, and 2 Shoulders Sets, each with space for 4 weapons on it (multi-part weapons might take up more than one weapon "slot").

How about a split into short and long range sets?

Long and Short range sets can work for me. Mostly happy with the split you've proposed, though I've got a hankering for shoulder mounted Macro Lasers, maybe that's just me.

Final LS thought, an option in CF3 to purchase in combat groups of say 3?

I was going to do a combo deal for 3, and for 10.

10! Wow! That's a lot of metal.

Prices, probably £30ish for the body, and £5ish per weapons pack.

The alternative would be to do a fixed armament configuration for ~£35 including 4x pre-set weapons, and have weapons packs available in addition to that.
Which would people prefer?

You know I'll go back to my comment about how complicated do you want to make it for yourself. While any business must always put the customer first, this customer is happy with either option, I say go with what works best for you on this one.

From a 'sales' point of view a complete set 'torso + arms' is a winner and I'd advise that as an option to push to stores in future.

However this is a crowdfunder, I understand the associated risk and the limitations of indiegogo if you use that platform again. If I have to buy torso's and then buy weapons then fine I'll do that. Supporting your endeavours to provide 6mm scifi goodness is what's important...

... mind you a one click choice with 3 torso and a mix of weapons never hurt anyone.

Now should you have another successful run would more weapon sprue variants be potential stretch goals if there was a demand for other weapons?

Yes, I can foresee being able to open up extra weapon sets as the crowdfunder progresses, as stretch goals, certainly.

Actually, just realized if I change the shoulder orientation I can get much more variance of pose out of this one, hang on.

Ha, that's what i figured ! True scale is the true way then ! :)

I think i like the raised carapace more - though best to canvas some more opinion. The back is looking great !

[quote="Evil and Chaos"][quote]Could put a lot of different symbols on that raised area of carapace, maybe make the carapace piece available as a Shapeways item with a number of different icons on it for people to use? [quote]

That's an interesting idea - perhaps a a selection of symbol could be a stretch goal or perk...?

Is it too difficult to do what Wasteland Studios did with his last kickstarter (for buildings) ? - sell the walker as a complete kit then send out a form at the end where people could select 4 individual weapons (if they don't want the standard.) If you gave a 1 or 2 week deadline then compile the results and make up your sprues to suit demand...?

And actually, that sword kicks a$$. ;D

Rotated the shoulder joint 90 degrees.

It can rotate and raise/lower at the shoulder, and is also hinged at the elbow. 2 major pieces + a small mounting point (same design as the shoulder mounting piece, it also fits the shoulders). It can fit to either left or right arm sockets.
