Post subject:  Return to BFG

Well after a couple of years absence I have finally came back to BFG.  This was the first game that got my wife and I gaming together after I had been on a big phase of absence from miniature wargaming and started her passion for Eldar that ended up being transfered primarilly to Epic which is both of our favourite game in existance.

Its been a refreshing change to get back into it and we have had a lot of fun so far.  Its also been good to kick some panzy eldar but after getting my arse kicked in the last few Epic games that we played.

A couple of questions that we had arrise in the games we have played over the last week are:

How do you treat weapons that use the gunnery table firing against weapons platforms.  Our best guess was that they would be treated as Escorts (because they are small) and as closing (because they are stationary and should be easy to hit).

Also during a boarding action there is the potential to get an additional critical hit on the special table.  We have assumed that this is in addition to the normal 6+ chance of scoring a critical per point of damage caused.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can clear these things up for us.

I am hoping to run a BFG tournament later in the year (after I have gotten an epic one happening and then later a multisystem one including both systems with 40K and AI) so I am going to have to work hard to make sure I have my head fully wrapped around all the rules.
