Its been ages since anyone heard anything about the future of the game. Ray was going to try to get Battlefleet Mars fleet lit official, and the 2004 models are still out there somewhere. Aside from that, your guess is as good as mine. And, since BFG has been on hold for such a long time, there is not even a real list of potential next developments. ![]() |

Just one question: where can you send new ideas so that GW people will hear them? Let me explain: lately we have been designing a rogue trader list (a TRUE list, not the thing you have seen in the SG site). The fact is that i doubt it will ever be considered to get offical status. In that way, what can be done??? |

RayB who skitters about these forums (I'm not sure skitters is the right word there, but it's amusing if it's wrong...) is on the BFG High Admirality. Also Black Horizon, being Editor of Warp Rift, is in a sufficiently potent position such that I'd imagine Andy Hall (and Jervis, if he ever has the chance these days) probably flicks through Warp Rift to have a look now and again. Similarly, things brought up on the BFG Main forum often attract the attention of those close to the top, but not too often. Most importantly for you purposes will be this page: http://www.specialist-games.com/submissions.asp Though it is mainly for submissions to Fanatic Online it remains your best port of call for actually submitting things to Specialist Games. Andy, at least, has to look at the damn thing before thinking "No, this idea is silly/rubbish/poo/sheer-genius/unadulterated-brilliance!" In a similar manner simply emailing or PMing RayB is likely enough to have him give a few (or many) comments on things to see if he supports the idea. Typically though, given the fact that releases for BFG are literally few and far between (nothing in 06 and very little in 05) with only Ray's Black Templar Rules and BF Mars being on the Horizon...well...yes, it's not often and there doesn't seem to be too much upcoming... Which is a shame, but ah well! At least we have Warp Rift! ![]() |

Oh frell..... In ages? We got a new FAQ & Rulebook this year! Ray mentioned an hopeful soon release for the AdMech Fleet. The next Warp Rift will have a nice article from Ray in it. And they do read Warp Rift. |

Only problem with that is that once SG gets them they'll become GW IP and thus have to be removed from Warp Rift again. Either that or they have to be re-written before being submitted to SG. |

Ray, Bob & Nate MAY NOT talk about official work they are doing for BFG. Ray & Bob told me. They can do whatever they want outside of that as long as it does not interfere with official SG stuff. |

Yes, sorry. I dont count the rule book as it is not an actual miniature, didnt actually change the rules a whole lot, and required a lot of clarifications. Still, I guess that we should be glad that it arrived. I think that there is not much chance of anything fan based being included into the core game. This leave you with two choices: Fanatic Online or Warp Rift. If you go with FO, you will need to be prepared to wait a long time and possibly never get a reply. If you go with WR then SG are unlikely to touch it. My advice, send it to Andy for FO with a note that you would like a quick response and that you will submit it to WR issue 13 (not the next issue). Then, if it makes it to WR, you can start a thread on the SG boards to generate discussion and get as many players aware of it as possible. |
