Post subject:  looking for cool scenarios

Hey guys!

I will be starting a 40k universe campaign with EPIC, BFG and 40k missions.

Although, I want most of the games to be linked (one game leading to another) I thought that this would be the chance to try those scenarios (linked or BFG only) that are seldom played.

Does anyone know a cool scenario that I can include (for any army)?

Thanks!

Have you checked section 6 of the rulebook? ?Read past the army lists for several scenarios.

If you want inspiration for this kind of thing, the place to look is World War Two. Find a series of battles involving a river/sea landing and convert it over to 40K.

Play a game of Epic, and every time an Engagement happens, play the Engagement in 40k.

It'd take a month or so to play, but it'd be sweet. :)

thanks... I already know the scenarios on the book.  I also have the ones from the armaggeddon campaign and a couple from the rifts mags.

There's one about a hulk mixing epic and BFG.  It looks fun.

However,  I want to have some backup missions to give some flavor.

For example:

We will surely have several planet assaults.
I know that there's one mission designed to assault a planet.
But instead of playing that mission over and over,  I thought that we could have an alternate mission that somebody knew about.

Or if you know a mission so cool that can not be left out.  I would include that.

So, any thoughts?

P.S.  even 40k in 40min  to represent EPIC engagements would take forever.  :O

You could focus on the Epic campaign and then when you need smaller missions like for example sabotaging stuff or ambushes you play 40k or 40k in 40 min. In BFG you could have missions in which transports need to bring in extra troops and supplies who are being ambushed by enemy forces.

You could also have orbital bombardement missions in which the defender tries to prevent the attacker from bombarding, the following epic and 40k missions might be played on a bombarded world or take place while that bombardement is happening. Another option might be for 40k to use orbital bombardement as a heavy support choice, similar to what the Grey Knights have.

Do you have background material for this campaign yet?

yup  but I am afraid it is in Spanish

It will just be a tree campaign with 6 armies:
orks
orks
chaos
eldar
empire
bugs

It is quite flexible.  For example,  the chaos player does not have EPIC.  He will just play 40k and BFG

As you mentioned,  the campaign will focus on battles on a planet with reinforcements comming from space and an eventual assault to players "base planets"

My Spanish isnt that perfect at the moment but I can vague make out what you are trying to do! Its pretty cool!

But 6 armies huh? I do suggest that you try to give them each their own agenda to make it even more challenging instead of getting weird unfluffy alliances.

For example the Eldar might have their own plans and scenarios but would fight together with the Imperium against the Orks, Nids or Chaos. Some Orks might ally with Chaos or with the other Orks. The Orks could also fight against each other. The Tyranids simply try to eat everything present.
