So as I just got a bunch of Chaos ships and am looking through the fleets, I have come up with the following as my 1000 point starter.
Repulsive (Bringer of Despair)
Carnage Class Cruiser
Devestation Class Cruiser
2x Infidel Raiders
Warmaster
Hades Class Daemonship w/Mark of Nurgle
So as I was trying to figure out what to do with the list, I thought of posessing the Hades Class Cruiser. Originally it was an Acheron.
If you're curious the alternate list drops the Repulsive, and replaces it with a Carnage and 2 Iconoclasts.
So my question to you, is what is your favourite ship to possess? Or what do you think is tactically, the best ship to possess?

Generally, the Slaughter is considered the best target of a possession, since it has the shortest range but is evil up close and is fairly fast. Still, I would probably not go for that, simply because it is such a common option... and you dont have one.
I would keep the Repulsive list, simply because I really like the Grand Cruiser as a great model and one of my favourite ships in the game.

When I was considering my options for Daemonic posession, I came to the conclusion that the prime targets are either very long ranged ships or very fast ships. In this capacity, my choice ships are either the Hades what with it's long range Lances or the Slaughter since it is short ranged but has the speed to catch the enemy (usually) after it completes translation to material space. (The Daemonship I have converted is still on these forums somewhere and is a slaughter, mostly because I figured that a blood thirsty Daemon entity would want to get into the thick of it and spill as much blood as (in)humanly possible.
So while the slaughter would be my first choice, the Hades would be a close second. Larger ships than that tend to cost a lot, esp Battleships.
