The Silence are rarely seen, but their handiwork is throughout the Khareshi Expanse. Faintly glowing spheroids of glass orbit suns where once living planets flew. What causes the Silence to choose to eradicate a world is unknown, as is nearly everything else about them.

Silence ships use the following special rules:

Exotic Construction: The materials and methods used in the construction of Silence ships are incredibly resilient. Silence ships always have a standard Brace for Impact save, similar to Kraken. Silence ships therefore cannot Brace for Impact. Silence ships are also immune to critical hits, and cannot be boarded.

Alien Will: Silence ships always have an LD of 10. Whenever a Silence ship takes damage, make an LD check. A failiure results in the Silence ship attempting to disengage next round.

Purpose: The Silence will not be found in space that is not near a target planet. The Silence gain victory points for annihilating a planet, equal to X*hits (X=50? 100?). If the planet is untouched, the defending player gains the victory points.

Silence Exterminator: 300? points
Type/Hits: Cruiser/8
Speed: 15cm
Turns: 45*
Shields: 3
Turrets: 0
Armor: 6+
Weapons:
Silencer - S1 - 60cm - F arc

Silencer: The Silencer is an immense beam weapon. It acts as a pulsar lance that hits on a 3+, and has no maximum to the number of hits it can inflict. Lock On does not effect the Silencer. It may also be fired on planets, in which it hits once on a 2+ and does 1 point of damage. A planet has hits equal to its radius.

Inspired by the T-Mat Starship/Vaygr Planetkillers(as they were meant to be). Though a Starship model would be cool, the idea I have is an ovoidsh ship with flanges forward, with some weird symettry.. like 5 or 7 axis.

Edit: Addition of Purpose, alteration of the Silencer

Also reminds me of 'The Inhibitors' from the Alastair Reynolds books, although they don't have "ships" as such, but just "conglomerations" of shapes.
