Since these rules are fairly new, not all tactics have been explored I think. So what I give is from my experience.
(As a side not, playtesting happened against: Imperial Navy, Chaos, Necrons & Eldar).

Summary of Eldar MMS tactical style:

- The Corsairs are still a raiding fleet, even the Craftworld, who are more a real warfleet still benefit from the raiding style.
- With the Corsairs escorts are king. All of them. So don't hesitate to use them.
- The Craftworld is now in a shape to engage enemy fleets as a real warfleet. Here all cruisers are good and Shadowhunters are their for backup. Ghostships finally make sense!
- Asteroid fields are still your friends. Make use of them.

Okay, some combat doctrines from what I gathered during playtesting.
- Coordinate Coordinate Coordinate. When you strike the enemy fleet make it pay. Do not strike when next turn your in a bad position.

Remember the Eldar are still the fastest (with good sun) and most manoeuvrable fleet in the game. Their striking range is great. From a distance of 70cm you can engage the enemy.
In the beginning in a battle (standard engagment so to say) splitting your fleet is an idea. Don't let either part get too close to the enemy. Make big moves around them using speed. Most likely the enemy will choose one part of your fleet as a target. This leaves your untargetted part in a position to move into a great position behind enemy lines.

When you think the timing is right strike with both of your fleets at the same ships in the enemy fleet. Take out escorts first and then the cruisers. Why the escorts first? Well, escorts are the only thing that can turn good and still have a decent shot at you. By eliminating escorts you make the enemy immobile. When you are on his tail you can stay there and harass the cruisers.

Again, coordinate everything. If one part of your fleet strikes and the other part doesn't get in your in trouble.

For Corsair fleets with their great speed and lots of escorts the splitting tactic does work well.
Craftworld Fleets can split but also operate as a real warfleet, eg with a proper battleline. Using those Shadowhunters as flank attack. Again make use of the speed and turns you can make.

Now, some anti Eldar MMS notes:
- When the Eldar player has ships in b2b contact for massed shielding. Act like this:
are it cruisers? Shoot one vessel at a time.
are it escorts? Shoot them all.
- Take escorts for rear protection. The IN will also benefit from their Light Cruisers. Keep them at the back and use their manoeuvrablility for defensive purpose.
- When you shot a cruiser to incapacitated (2hp left/100%vps), you can leave him if there are healthy targets near.
- Shoot cruisers first and concentrate fire. Especially the first shot is important as a cruiser may not BFI as long as it has shields up.

...wel that's it for now, maybe I can dig some more up later.

And keep us informed with playtesting, we are open to suggestions.

Cheers.
