Keep in mind that when I talk about Dragonships I use balanced stats and not the one from the Doom of the Eldar article, thus with Dragonships they have 4 instead of 3 Pulsar lances and 8 instead of 6 torps. Shadowhunters are equiped with shadowlances but these function as DE phantom lances.

Okay, based on the Court of the Young King principle.

Fleet Commander
Must take an admiral in all battles, A Court of the Young King must be taken in 1250 pts and higher battles.

0-1 Court of the Young King 150 pts
Leadership 10, 2 re-roll, +2 in boarding

0-1 Admiral 50 pts
Leadership 9, 1 re-roll

Capital Ships
Grand Cruiser (FoA model) 320 pts
+ 10 pts for aspect warriors (note, model has a-boats)

Dragonship 260 pts (1 per 2 Wraithships)
must take aspect warriors &  a-boats or boarding torps for +15pts

Wraithship 160 pts
must take aspect warriors &  a-boats or boarding torps for +15pts

Ghosthips free 0-3
Cannot take aspect warriors,  a-boats & boarding torps
Ghostships   have -1Ld. If one fails a command check it will do nothing in the turn (or following turn in case of BFI) but you may still attempt further command checks for ?living? ships, though not for other Ghostships. Further, Ghostships cannot benefit from command re-rolls, though they can still benefit from Foresight Powers.  May not have Fleet Commanders or Aspect Warriors aboard. Cannot launch boarding actions or H&R attacks and enemies boarding or using H&R against them get a +1 bonus. Attempts to repair criticals are made with half the normal number of dice. Keel weaponry replaced by 4WB@30cmF for Wraithships and 8WB@30cmF for Dragonships.

Escorts
Shadowhunters 40 pts

Ordnance
Any capital ship with launch bays may choose to have them launch any mix of Nightwing fighters and Phoenix bombers. Ships with torpedo tubes are armed with Eldar torpedoes.

Attack Rating
Due to the fact that they must defend their Craftworld, Craftworld fleets are more constrained in their tactical choices. Consequently they have an Attack Rating of 3.

Reserves
Craftworld fleets may take Corsair Eldar ships as reserves at a ratio of 3 Craftworld ships of a single type to 1 Corsair of the same type.

edit:
* changed Dragon & Wraithship options.
* clarified a-boats & boarding torps
* lowered point costs for options

Hooray! Biel-Tan!

Perhaps we could also work out a variant for the Corsair list to represent a force loyal to Biel-Tan (my Corsair ships are in Biel-Tan colours, I consider them as far-ranging outriders for the Kingdom's space fleet)

Hmm, a seperate Corsair list, because you painted them in Biel-Tan colours? ???  :;):

Don't know, is it fluffy?

Its a good start. It does not try to do too much, just worked with the elements already in place to make something different.

I would recommend making the aspect warriors manditory.  Otherwise, this is simply the Iyanden list but better.

Also, the ghostships might be better as one per three regular or something like that.

Lastly, I think the FoA comes with Aspect Warriors standard, not a-boats. If this is the case, you'll need to reduce its cost by 10 (the reduction on your cost of warrior squads.)

I know the FoA has Aspect warriors at +10 pts and no a-boats, but believe me, that's gonna change in the official CWE release by SG!

Ghostships could be like you mention. My main difference with Iyanden is I didn't give the warriors of Biel-Tan Farseers.

Like you said, don't go to wild with different CWE, just slight & subtle changes IMHO.

I agree that Ghostships should be restricted or dropped all together.  Personally I see Ghostships as a 'last resort' that Iyanden has been forced to use in large numbers due to their lack of numbers, but most craftworlds would rather keep almost all of the spirit stones safe in the infinity circuit.  Actually, in Iyanden fleets I think non-Ghostships should be restricted to represent the lack of Eldar to man the ships.

Making aspect warriors mandatory is also good idea, otherwise you could make a fleet that is almost the same as the SG Iyanden fleet.  Since they cost the same, perhaps make a-boats and boarding torpedoes mandatory as well.  Between the ordnance and aspect warriors perhaps a 5-10pt discount since they are standard.

Mandatory Raiders and boarding torps would make sense.

How about: all (non-ghost) ships must take aspect warrior fighting squads, vampire raiders, and boarding torpedoes at a combined cost of +25 pts.

So, a bonus of 5pts over what I suggested? Hmm, I'll add it to the list.

And yeah, Ghostships should be restricted in non-Iyanden lists.

No ship can get vampires and boarding torpedoes (except maybe the Flame?).  I'd saya mandatory +15 upgrade for aspect warriors and A-boats/boarding torps.

Indeed no ship can get boarding torps & Vampire a-boats at once. That's obvious when you build the model. Then you have to decide wich one you're gonna use.
I'll make it clearer in the text, thanks for pointing out.
15 points is better!

Howdy all, new poster...

Each craftworld should have it's own special option, similar to in 40k.

Iyanden should be the only fleet with access to Ghostships.   To offset this, all other craftworlds should be able to take a Bonesinger upgrade for capital ships, say 20 points or so that allows critical damages to be repaired on a 5+.

Biel-Tan should have reduced cost Aspect Warrior and Vampire Raider upgrades, and also be the only fleet able to take boarding torpedoes.   I think that they should still have access to Farseers.   The Court upgrade should also double boarding value, as I'd say an Avatar is similar to a Chaos or Ork warlord.

Ulthwe should have reduced cost Farseers as well as a (very cheap, 5 pts) black guardians upgrade that increases a ship's boarding defense similar to Space Marine vessels.

For Saim-Hann I think enhanced attack craft would be good.   Perhaps their assault craft and bombers can become resilient similar to Tau bombers and fighters re-roll their resilient rolls.

Alaitoc is a bit of a tricky one, perhaps some sort of Dark Eldar-like cloaking?   A totally new idea, but an interesting one, would be resilient hit-and-run attacks.   As an upgrade, a capital ship can use Pathfinder boarding parties, who after each successful hit-and-run attack, can roll again for a (single) additional turn.
