Is there any way you can show a picture of the ship. I'm not familar with the pre Gothic ships so I don't know how it compares in size to the Dauntless. Is it bigger or smaller?
I think using the Dauntless stats would be good for a Chaos light cruiser. You won't have any one questioning the respective point value of the ship. Based on the stats you have given it appears that this model has a layout much like the Dauntless so it would work.
As it ships stats stand now it is undervalued. It is a far superior ship class to the Dauntless because of it's increased speed, shields, turrets, lance and Weapon battery strength. The only thing it doesn't have is the "All ahead Full" special rule. You get all this for 15 points. A good investment in my mind.
It's hard to give my recommendation without seeing the ship.
Assuming it is the same size as a Dauntless, I recommend. Droping the shields and turrets to 1. Make the weapon batterries STR 4 each. Make the Lance battery stats 45cm STR 2 front only. It fits chaos to have longer range lances.

The Gothic battleship is 8cm long, so going by my estimation, the Ironclad is approximatly 5.5cm long...
