Hi
Would it be cheezy to have an Ork fleet souly made up of the large Battle Kruzaz?
I ask coz Ive seen lots of Cruiser based Chaos Fleets which are pretty effective.
As Ive not played with Orks before Im unsure weather such a fleet would be cheezy, as there are pretty strict rulez to the number of Battle Kruzaz you can have "ie you must have at least 1 Kroozer and 1 squadon of Escorts for every Battle Kruzaz" leads me to beleive that maybe Battle Kruzaz are very good value for points.
Anyway it was just a thought. At ?15 a go a fleet of just six Battle Kruzaz would cost me ?90 so its proberly something Id never do

Battlekroozas are the equivalent of Grand cruisers from other fleets. Hence the restrictions on their use. They are powerful ships, but not overly powerful for their points. Each one you take is an important investment in points and it still has most of the drawbacks of orks. Add to this the fact that taking a multitude of them will mean that the rule of swaping leadership with cruisers is not as useful as it is when you only have a few of them (and a multitude of cruisers to generate leadership rolls) and you lose an important asset of the BKs.
They are powerful, oh yes, but not incredibly powerful. The most interesting point in them from my POV is the fact that they have a large number of hit points, and so coupled with a warlord can generate amazing boarding scores.
As you said, they still need to have a bunch of support out there, so a "full fleet of battlekroozas" is nonexistant right now , in the same way that a full fleet of battleships for other races is rather unheard of on the tabletops.

Yerh I thought as much. Bit of a shame coz I think it would make a very visualy pleasing fleet.

I would play against this fleet. I think that the restriction is there mainly for a fluff point of view, rather than any real problem with the power of the ships.
