Hi
Has anyone tried out the new SM variant fleet lists yet?
Specifically the SM Dominion Fleet?
Just wondering which IN vessels it would be worth taking instead of the SM Battlebarges and SM Strike Cruisers?
What IN Battleships or Cruisers would add something to SM Dominion Fleet?
Given that SM Strike Cruisers are cheaper than in normal SM Planetary Assault Fleet list.

Not tested it (my BFG gaming has gone to hell after I moved to Brighton) but I feel it might not be really worth it. You lose the nice assault bonuses of the SM in that fleet, so the armaggedon fleet looks better to me. There you can already mix marines and normal IN ships, and even if the marines are more expensive they get the full load of the goodies that make the SM cool.
Just some random thoughts on the subject...

True
But you can't have Grand Cruisers in an Armageddon Fleet unless you use them as reserves.
Just thinking that a Vengeance/Avenger and pair of Lunars might be fun to mix in with ususal SM Strike Cruisers and Battlebarges.

Hi
Still mulling over in my mind. Ultramar is in the Ultima Segmentum right? As is Kar Duniash, albeit that Kar Duniash is further to galatic north.
So would Kar Duniash pattern ships fit theme of Ultramarine SM Dominion fleet?
